In the last episode, Archana is concerned about Poorvi's sadness and quizzes her about it. Poorvi is about to say something in reply that did not seem like a denial of what troubles her. But then of course there is the predictable intrusion, a phone call from the irate Manav, and Archana leaves to meet his lordship in the pouring rain (Ugh!)Wonder whether Poorvi would have shared her predicament with Archana. Anyone have another view?

Dear Mr./Ms. Parameswaran,
Purvi was clearly on the verge of telling her mother - what? That Arjun loves her and not Ovi, and that she too loves him? That she, Purvi, will never allow Arjun to marry her and thus wreck Ovi's happiness? Where is the need for this after she has shown Arjun the door? To confess all this to Archana now will only cause her unnecessary pain. It is not as though Purvi is seeking her help to iron things out for her and Arjun. It is all as confusing as ever.
bee5 had a different take on this, that Purvi would tell her mother the truth and ask for her advice, but while still keeping up the fiction that this was happening to her fictional friend Shrutika. The problem with that otherwise plausible take is that there was no second girl in the Shrutika story Purvi first told Archana, just before the airport scene. How can she introduce such a character now?
Then again, if I was Purvi's mother,I would never swallow such whopper - that my daughter - (who sports a determinedly tragic face (she even leaves the kandapoha and the adrakwali chai untouched to drive the point home) is so sad about the problems of a friend!
The most logical answer is that Purvi - who is now feeling desperate even after having done a thorough demolition job on Arjun - was planning to tell Archana the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and to ask her what she, Purvi, should do now. But of course there is many a slip between the cup and the lip, both here and in with Arjun earlier in the same evening. There, of course, it was not a cup of anything, but a plate of Mexican pasta.
To digress a little, I wanted to share with you my latest take on Ovi, judging from the segment on her and Arjun in the latest episode.
Arjun begins, with a great deal of preparing himself, to tell Ovi about his love. As we could have predicted well in advance, just when he is clearing his throat and Ovi is waiting (NOT with bated breath, she seems to be equally concerned about her Mexican pasta and the salad - obviously a girl who has her priorities right), trring!! and it is DK.End of the dinner date.
Now Arjun assures Ovi that he will be back as soon as he can make it, and would she please wait, as he has this ultra important thing to tell her. What does she do? She calls Teju, who is nearby, to join her, and then when Teju refuses to eat there, goes off to the Karanjakar house with her, leaving Arjun and his important revelation to look after themselves. Nor, when she is well settled with kanda poha and dinner, does she even think of calling and telling him she has decided not to wait for him.
Very interesting, as it shows that Ovi, for all her professed amar prem for Arjun, really bothers only about herself. She is like nothing so much as a sleek well fed cat: stroke its fur just right and it will purr and lick your hand, but one wrong move, and it will snarl and scratch.

Very analytical, as usual! Thank you much.
Ovi is a spoilt brat who has it coming and not soon enough. But poor Purvi is in a fix. She is not stupid enough to ask Arjun to continue with the shadi charade just to satisfy her filial loyalties; the dilemma is that in spite of losing Purvi's trust and love for him, he cannot go through the misery of being tied to Ovi in any kind of relationship. His love for Purvi is honest and true. If she spurns him, so be it. He will not fill the void with anyone else. What would be Purvi's choice of action? I suggest she grab him ASAP and put an end to this chapter of PR. It is after all her life.
