CHAPTER 7 ' FIRST DATE

MORNING,DOBRIYAL HOUSE

It was another busy morning for dobriyals as everyone was getting ready for their respective works. Arnab n pia for office, shona for school n madhu was busy in giving instructions to the servants to arrange the breakfast on the table.

With the sound of doorbell all looked towards the door wondering who can be there at this early morning. Servant opened the door and found a handsome boy standing there. He wished to meet Mr. dobriyal and servant welcomed him in the house.

Arnab went towards the living area n found abhay sitting on the sofa. He was surprised to see him and welcomed him and called madhu to introduce him to her. Pia and shona also came there and they too were surprised to see abhay. They were expecting him but they didn't know he'll come this early in the morning. Shona gave pia a meaningful glance and whispered in her ear-" di,hone wale jiju ko toh bahut jaldi hai lagta hai bas subah uthte hi seedhe yahan aa gaye." (started gigling).😆 Pia scolded her saying- "shut up shona. Stop calling him 'hone wale jiju'"😳

Arnab (smiling)- so abhay 'itni subah yahan 'chand ne kisi office ke kaam se bheja hai kya??? Main toh bas office ke liye nikal ne hi waala tha'tumne bekaar mein hi takleef ki.

Abhay (little nervous)- no uncle actually I have not come here for any office purpose. I want a little favour from you.

Arnab (confused)😕- favour??? Ok tell me.

Abhay (still nervous)- uncle me and my band is giving an auditions for new music reality show on Mtv but the problem is that our lead female singer can't come because her mother is ill so we have to find her substitute. We went to one music school for that and there I listened to your daughter, shonali. She is very good singer. So I was thinking if she could help us???

Arnab (looking at shona then to him)- well'that's gr8 you are taking part in the show. I will be happy if I could help you by anyway but its about shona so let her decide what she wants.

Shona (hurriedly)- I want to help him.

Arnab (seeing the brightness in shona's eyes)😃- if shona want to help'then its ok with me.

Madhu (apprehensively)- but abhay'.shona is already giving time to her music school n now a days she is very fragile health wise, catches fever very often. With all these things how she'll manage her studies???

Abhay (assuring)- don't worry aunty. This is only temporarily till our band member returns. We just have to give auditions at three levels. It won't take much time. And as regarding her health'.i assure you aunty I will take care of her'there will not any pressure on her mind.

Shona (trying to convince)- yes mom I promise I will not neglect studies.

Madhu (smiling at shona)- ok baba you can join their band.

Shona was very happy at this. She gave yet another meaningful glance to pia and winked at her. Pia also couldn't help but smile.

Arnab (bidding goodbye) - bye everyone I am getting late for office.

Pia- no papa wait for me jus five minutes and u have to drop shona to the school also as my scooty is gone for servicing and driver has not came so I am not gonna drive that other khatara car.

Arnab (irritated)- oh pia you always make me late. I am not gonna wait for you.

Meanwhile abhay interrupted and said to pia '" well, if you don't mind let uncle go I m going the same way so I can drop you both."😉 arnab said- oh thank u very much abhay. Its so kind of you. Abhay proceeded towards his car with pia n shona. Shona quickly get into the back seat forcing pia to sit on front seat with abhay.

Abhay (smiling looking at shona from rear view mirror)- so shonali'.are you happy and comfortable with all this thing na???

Shona (wide grin on her face)-😃 oh yes I am cool with it. Btw call me shona. Do you have any nickname too??

Abhay - shona'...cute name..i do have a nickname. My frnds call me AR.

Shona (excitedly)- wow AR'cool name huh!!! Ok I will also call you AR.

Meanwhile pia was listening their convo. On one side she was happy to see that they are becoming frnds fast but on the other side she was feeling left out and also a little bit jealous that her sister is getting all abhay's attention. She even scolded her lightly saying that abhay is elder than her so she shud call him bhaiya. Shona couldn't help but laugh sensing the reason behind this. Abhay also laughed with her. Seeing them laughing pia became embarrassed and scolded herself in her mind for the absurd thought of jealousy for a fraction of second from her own little sister.😳

Shona's school has come so she bid goodbye to them n ran towards the school gate

Now only abhiya were there I the car. Both were silent . Pia was thinking- "oh why he is not asking me out for a date'waise toh hamesha kehta rehta hai'.that we shud meet. Now what happened???"😕 While abhay was thinking- "hmmm'.should I ask her for a date?? I have already asked her many times but she didn't replied. I don't wanna sound like pushy n crazy lover." They were lost in their thought when they realized that office has come so pia get out of the car and was about to go when abhay stopped her.

Abhay (thought to ask abt shona's school timing)- umm'pia...i wanna ask...

Pia (cutting him between)- yeah I will come with you on a date.

Abhay (smiling mischeivously)- you didn't let me complet...i wanna ask you abt shona's school timing so that I can schedule our practice sessions.

Pia (highly embarrassed)-😳 woh.. actually...I didn't mean...her school gets over at 3.00pm. (started to walk towards the office without looking at him)

Abhay (still smiling with the mischievous glint in his eyes)😉- pia, I will pick you up at 8.00pm for the date. Is it ok with you??

Pia (without turning back)- yes. (ran inside the office with a shy smile on her face)

KABIR'S HOUSE

Abhay reached there with shona . They have decided that they'll practice at his house as it was big enough and was in the secluded area, little far from main road so there will not be any disturbances for them and his parents were ok with this music and all so they happily allowed them. Other members ie Danish n angad have also arrived there. Abhay introduced them to shona. They welcomed her in their band.

DOBRIYAL HOUSE

It was already 7.30 pm in the clock and pia was still confused what to wear on her special evening. She looked at watch n panicked- oh god its 7.30 already. He'll come anytime'I am not ready yet. Shona was looking at her from last 1 hour and was laughing continuously at her condition😆. At last she took pity on her sister n helped her in selecting a dress n matching accessories with it. She wore this dress.

At sharp 8.00pm her phone ranged. She took the call n smiled n said she is coming. Shona winked at her n said- go princess your prince charming has come.😉

Outside the dobriyal house abhay was waiting for pia. He stood leaning on his car with his arms crossed across his chest. He was wearing semi formal dress. He has also gone through the confusion of what to wear. Tried many dinner jackets n formal suits but not feeling comfortable in them he finally with kabir's help decided to wear this.

As pia came outside she looked at him n she was blown away by his deadly handsome looks. First she kept looking at him for few moments but then realizing that she is staring him moved her gaze elsewhere.😳 On the other hand abhay was mesmerized seeing pia like this. He couldn't take off his eyes from her. The dress was not revealing, in fact it was very decent but she looked damn sexy in that outfit. Her hair which she left open were coming on face n she was struggling to put them aside. Abhay moved towards her n put some of her hair beside her ears n leaned forward to whisper in her ear-" you are looking gorgeous". She smiled shyly at his compliment n said-" you are looking handsome too". They both set in the car n abhay drove the car towards their destination.

He took pia to a beautiful beachside restaurant. Pia was surprised to see that he has brought her to her favourite restaurant. They went inside and waiter took them to their table which he already booked. The ambience of the restaurant was classy, elegant , beautiful n comfortable. Their table was at the corner which offered a beautiful n mesmerizing view of the beach side. Abhay ordered pia's favourite Italian cousine.

Pia (impressed)- I must say...you know how to charm a girl. I am impressed. But how do you know about all my favourite things???

Abhay (smiling)-😊 well'.you know when you really like someone there is no need to say anything, eyes communicate n heart understands it all.

Pia (smiling)- keep these cheesy lines of yours for some "easy to get girl". Tell me the truth.

Abhay(laughing)-😆 ok miss " hard to get". I took a little help from shona when we went to kabir's place.

Pia (surprised)- oh...i must say you are really smart.

Abhay (proudly)- yes I am. But I really like to hear from you about your likes n dislikes.

Pia (smiling, looking elsewhere)- well I am simple n quite boring girl. But you are very interesting, full of surprises, I wonder if you could tell me something about yourself.

Abhay- what do you want to know??

Pia (looking directly in his eyes with her curious eyes)- everything...i mean everything about your likes n dislikes. For starting you can tell me how you get into this whole music thing??

Abhay (looking in her eyes)- music is my passion. I always loved it. But it was only in the college I decided to make it my career. But dad wanted me to do MBA. I tried but...but failed.

Pia (shocked)-😲 you mean to say you.. you..failed...as in you ..failed in your exams. (couldn't conceal a little smile on her lips)😆'but in that party...chand uncle was so happy...wait...you ...you didn't tell him anything..right???

Abhay- yeah, he doesn't know anything yet.

Pia (concerned voice)- hey its not good to lie to your parents.

Abhay (sadness in his eyes)- you can say that as you are lucky to have parents who understand your preferences n fulfills your every wish.

Pia (noticed that sadness in his eyes, n felt a pian in her heart too to see him like that, she put her hand on his n squeezed it a little)- don't worry, they'll understand you one day. But its not good to hide things...tell them soon.

Abhay - I will...hey we are not here to discuss my life's complexities. (changed the topic when he noticed that she become little sad but was happy somewhere to know that his pain also affects her)

They have finished their dinner. Pia was looking to the sea. abhay noticed it and said-" come lets have a walk."

They went to the beach. Pia saw the seashore n was delighted like a child. She removed her sandals and stood on the wet sand with eyes closed n smile playing on her lips.

Abhay (curiously)- hey what are you doing???

Pia (smiling, gesturing him to come by her side)- come on, remove your shoes, you should try it too. It feels amazing.

Abhay did as she asked and stood by her side feeling the wet sand under his feet with small waves kissing their feet giving them wonderful feeling.

Abhay- you really likes beaches..huh!!

Pia (smiling)😊- yes...i love beaches...its my fav. Place whenever I m tensed I come here. These waves take away your all tensions n gives you calmness. Besides I have many wonderful memories of my childhood when I n shona used to play here. Don't you have any sibling???

Abhay (his smiling face become sad all of a sudden at her question but he tried to conceal his sadness)- no I don't have any sibling.

Pia looked at him n noticed a glint of pain in his eyes, she couldn't understand why he become sad...it was a normal question, she felt like as if she has scratched an old wound. She was standing at some distance from him till now. She came closer and held his left hand with her right n entwined her fingers with his. She didn't say anything but her gesture was enough for abhay to come out of his sadness. He smiled looking at her n they resumed their walk but now they were walking close to each other, hand in hand.😳

Suddenly it started raining. Pia ran under near by teen shed but abhay stayed there enjoying the rain with his arms stretched as if welcoming the first rainfall of the season.

Pia (concerned)- abhay, what are you doing?? Come inside, you'll get cold.

Abhay (smiling heartily)- oh common, its not a heavy rainfall, just a drizzling. I love rainfall...its first rainfall of season..don't wanna miss it(he removed his jacket n throw it up in the air). Come you should also enjoy it (stretched his hand to her gesturing her to come outside from the shade)

Pia took his hand and came outside. Cold water droplets fell on her giving her ticklish feeling n making her shiver. She was enjoying it when abhay asked her-" hey can I have a dance with you"

Pia - now...here...but there is no music.

Abhay - music is everywhere...you just need to feel it. Close your eyes pia n listen to the music of nature. No music is as sweet n melodious than this.

Pia closed her eyes n tried to listen with concentration. She heard the melodious sound of rain drops on teen shade, sounds of sea waves, sounds of cool breeze, rustling of leaves- its so amazing abhay (said while eyes closed n beautiful smile crept on her face)

She was lost in nature's melody. She didn't know when abhay came near her and put his hand around her waist, pulled her closer n entwined his hands with her. They slowly started swaying on the unplayed music of nature. Pia didn't realize when she put her head on his shoulder, hugging him. Abhay started humming some lines in his sweet yet sexy voice-

Pia pulled apart when he stopped singing.

Pia (amazed by the song)- abhay , why did you stop singing. It was very nice song. But I have never heard it before. From which album it is?

Abhay - well...you have not heard it because it has not released yet'as its my own composition.

Pia (surprised)- what?? Your composition..wow..it was so... fantastic.

Abhay (smiling, feeling proud that she liked it)- thanks but credit goes to you.

Pia (curiously)- me??? But why???

Abhay (caressing her cheek with back of his hand)- because I was working on it since few days but there was something missing some missing links, words sometimes I was troubling with tune but tonight when I was holding you..it...it just came out perfect...direct from my heart.

Pia (smiling shyly)- so am I your muse now???😳

Abhay (cupping her face with his both hands and looking at her with love filled eyes)- yes you are and I guess you always will be from now onwards.

They kept standing there close to each other without saying anything but their eyes which were filled with love and admiration for each other communicating in their own language. Rain has been stopped few minutes ago but there were still few water droplets on pia's face which attracted attention of abhay. He leaned forward to suck them by kissing them one by one from her forehead, eyes, nose n cheeks. As soon as his lips touched her skin pia closed her eyes to feel it. He finally reached towards her rosy lips which were parted with anticipation. He slowly pressed his lips on her rose petals like lips sucking the tiny water droplets on them n tasting their sweet taste. As soon as their lips met pia felt like she was melting in his arms. Cool atmosphere of the beach suddenly turned into a hot one. The kiss was slow n gentle yet passionate. Pia held him tight as she felt she would fell down the moment she leave him n she also responded to him pouring out all her feelings which she was hiding till now.

After sometime they parted. Pia felt too shy to look at him. Abhay smiled at her reaction n just hugged her. Since it was getting late they decided to leave. Abhay dropped her at dobriyal house. She came out of the car n started moving towards her house while abhay also came out n leaned against the car to watch her until she get inside. But she turned back from midway n came towards him n said- "thank you for the beautiful evening." She quickly gave him a peck on his cheeks and ran inside the house, giggling. Abhay smiled at her innocence and left for his home singing n humming all the way as he was feeling very lucky to have pia in his life.

That was such a cute update Anjali...😳
