Suraj Kiran is inclined towards both families. On the one hand, it's his buddy Duryodhan (played by the long-haired Micky Dudhani), on the other it's Arjun plaued by (Karan Grover). Then he has this love track going with Manasvi (played by Mansi Salve Prabhu) whom he had proposed to while in college and who had refused. Years later, he learns that she's married to his brother who's dead. As the head of the family now he wants to get married to her. ''So it's one interesting character, which allows me to do a lot as an actor. I am enjoying being Suraj. He is the underdog. He is the modern Karn. I am happy playing him. The show is doing well and people appreciate what I do,'' says Raahil with a smile.
Raahil believes in doing one project at one time. He's appeared in some popular shows in the past. Besides Hatim on Star Plus he's done Bhabhi, Achanak 37 Saal Baad, Kahin Kisi Roz, Hello Dollie, Yeh Meri Life Hai. ''I learnt a lot during Achanak. It was like going to school. Also, I am very glad Hatim happened to me. It was a big show for a male, solo title role in today's times. I am thankful to God for Hatim. It also helped me grow a lot as an actor,'' adds Raahil who's now taken up another project for Jamnadas Malhethra and Aatish Kapadia which is still untitled. He's oviously very thrilled about the whole thing. ''I was waiting to do something special - this has an amazing script. We have just started shooting. I am having a great time. They have this theatre background and they to the sets with their homework done. Completely prepared. We do our reading, rehearsal and then go for a take. They work hard on such small things. It's unbelievable,'' he says.
So how is he going to manage two dailies? ''Shouldn't be very difficult. Because the Saarthi people, especially the producer Aasit bhai is a very genuine guy. They are very cooperative. I am managing my dates as of now. As of now, it's good going,'' explains Raahil.
