Chapter 5
Shyam was shocked!!!! He became temporarily paralysed when he realised that not only had he confessed his own foul deeds from his very own mouth but Khushi had openly confessed her feelings directly to Arnav HIMSELF...He could see all his future plans of raping Khushi, murdering wifie dear and embezzling the AR empire going down the drain!!!! DAMN !!!!!!! He regained his composure rapidly and resorted to damage control!!!
Shyam: Arre Arnav aap yahan?...arre yeh kya?...Khushi ji behosh ho gai???...you know, she does like it ROUGH, and we were doing role playing (yes guys...there are some very weird ways of "getting in the mood" out there and some use role play as a prelude to sex---to get into mood!!!!----so thats what Shyam is hinting to Arnav)...whatever I said was just a part of that act...and Khushi made all those cuts on herself!!!! You can ask her when she wakes up...NOW what can I do if she runs after me...afterall I am a red-blooded man...and with Khushi throwing herself at me like that...you really can't blame ME!!!!
(Shyam" OH Arnav, you here?...Oh whats this?...Khushiji has fainted???...)

Murderous rage burned in Arna's eyes. He had a momentary flashback of the entire terrace incident, as he started to see it in a totally different light...how khushi's hands were trying to stop the hug but were forcefully pinned in that hug...how Khushi NEVER confessed her love BUT it was ALWAYS Shyam endlessly proclaiming to be in love with her and CLAIMING that she loved him back...what he had thought of as Khushi's happiness in being able to spend time with Shyam was actually relief in being prevented from spending any further time in Shyam's company alone!!!!
His eyes fell on the bleeding angel in his arms.
The gentle spirit of Arnav cried at the injustice that HE had carried out on an unknowingly INNOCENT Khushi. If Arnav was gentle, loving and calm then ASR was mad, ferocious amd hatred personified. It was Arnav who always reigned in ASR under control so that there was no damage done. Tonight, however, Arnav descided that IT WAS TIME for him to LET ASR FREE...
ASR started pacing towards Shyam. Shyam retreated,seeing the madness that was being unleashed in Arnav's eyes...alas...but he was mistaken...there was no Arnav left in that beast which was stealthily drawing nearer to him.
THUMP!!!! Thats the sound ASR's foot made when it made contact with Shyam's stomach. Shyam FELL backwards and landed with a CRASH on the floor...OOPS!!!!...he just broke Naani's favourite Ming vase bought from China (Ming vase are rare and ancient collection dating back to Ming Dynasty in China).
Shyam got up. Shyam: Arnav humaari baat suniye!!!...yeh sab Khushi ka kiya dhara hai...shayad usey pata ta ki aap jaldi aa jaaengey...isi liye usney yeh sab kiya...woh aapko phasa rahee hai...jaisey usney humein phasaya...(Shyam walking backwards at a faster pace!)
(Shyam: Arnav, listen to me!!! ...This is all Khushi's doing...maybe she knew that you will come early...thats why she did all this...she's trying to trap you...just like she trapped me...)
ASR: SHUT UP!!!!
BANG!!! Arnav kicked Shyam in the guts again...AAAHHH!!!! cried Shyam as he landed infront of Arnav's Room...ASR's eyes landed on the bloody footprints on the floor of his room...and his eyes traced the footprints back to its originating source...THE BROKEN MIRRORS!!!!... littered the floor of his room...
ASR:DON'T YOU DARE UTTER HER NAME FROM YOUR FILTHY MOUTH!!!!!
SCRUNCH!!! He stepped on Shyam's left hand (which resulted in a multi-bone fracture) and he stepped into his room to place an unconscious Khushi delicately on the soft bed. He quickly darted his attention to Khushi's feet...and there, in the right foot of her sole, he found a lodged piece of the broken mirror. He removed it deftly and put a cushion under her foot. He walked over to the broken mirror and picked up a jagged piece and turned towards Shyam...
Shyam, who was busy nursing his fractured left-hand looked up to see Arnav walking towards him with????...Shyam (thinking): what the hell is he holding???
The lights danced off the sharp edges of the broken mirror..."OH NOOO!!!," Shyam thought. HE would have loved to have a heart attack right then BUT unlucky for him his heart was in a very healthy condition...thanks to Anjali's healthy meal planning ideas!!!!
Shyam quickly got up.
ASR: WHICH HAND???
Shyam: WHAT???...I LOVE BOTH MY HANDS ...THANK YOU...AND YOU HAVE ALREADY BROKEN ONE!!!!!!!
ASR (speaking through clenched teeth): WAS IT ...THAT HAND???... that YOU USED TO CUT INTO KHUSHI'S SHOULDERS????
Shyam (answered without thinking): Yes it was...why do you AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!
ASR just STABBED Shyam's left shoulder, pushing the broken mirror in as far as it would go...CRUSH!!! ...the mirror broke, one piece was firmly inserted into Shyams shoulder while the other piece had cut into ASR's palm with the amount of pressure he had exerted on the jagged piece...Arnav removed the broken piece from his palm without flinching and thrust it aside...
ASR: YOUR LEFT HAND MIGHT BE BROKEN BUT THE SHOULDER WHICH HOLDS IT IS STILL...OOPS!!!!...WAS INTACT!!!!! HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER!!!!!
WWWHHHAAAMM!!!! Arnav's right fist made contact with Shyam's jawline...while the left fist BLASTED all the air out of Shyam's lungs when it SLAMMED into his gut!!!! Arnav grabbed Shyam's shoulders...his left hand pressing downhard on the lodged piece of mirror...he then kneed him in the ribs...SCRUNCH...and pushed him with all his force backwards...
ASR: SHE.IS.MY.WIFE...MY WIFE!!!!
Shyam felt the onslaught of pain from every part of his body as he landed on his back...he FINALLY realised that right now neither can he stop to catch his breadth nor stop to attend to his injuries...right now he had to concentrate on finding a way out...but he swore to himself that he will even the score with Arnav AND Khushi for sure!!!!!!...thinking that he half crawled and half ran to the stairs that would lead him to the hallway...
ASR wasn't going to let him go that easily. Just as Shyam reached the stairs...WHAAMM!!!!...Arnav just shoved Shyam down the stairs...Shyam used his elbows and right-hand to break the impact the fall...he tried to stand but stumbled and fell again...BBAAANGGG!!! ...KKKAAAPLUNKK!!!!...WWHHAAAMMM!!!!...SCRUNCH!!!!...Arnav repeatedly kicked at Shyam's body...Shyam had pulled up his knees and bent his head (just like an embryo---the position a baby takes when in the womb) to reduce the impact of the kicks that were being showered by ASR generously.
ASR then pickedup Shyam's limp body and hurled him across the room. Shyam raised his head...he saw that he was near the kitchen...THIS WAS HIS ONLY CHANCE...he thought...
Shyam ignored all the pain that was screaming for attention from his body...and stumbled towards the kitchen...He saw a knife that was sticking out from the fruit basket...he grabbed it with his good hand and hid it...

With an impending sense of doom, she woke up. She looked around but couldn't see anyone...but she could hear the sound of Arnav yelling coming from the hallway...she was feeling cold...very cold...but there was no breeze...she got up and walked dazedly towards the noise..."I have to hurry...something bad is about to happen...I have to hurry," She thought. She limped towards the stairs and saw Arnav in a fit of rage, was punching and kicking Shyam...She couldn't see anybody, so she presumed that everyone was still under the influence of the sleeping tablets...thats when it hit her...THE BABY!!!!...the drug could affect the baby!!!!...she increased her pace and started to head for Arnav...
Khushi(thinking): Maybe he will hit me too, once he's done with Shyam...he must be thinking that the two of us were...that we were...(she couldn't even finish that thought). Tears filled her eyes...If Arnav hated her before then he would surely be disgusted with her now... he must be thinking that I and his Jija ji...(NO!!! Focus Khushi!!)... the BABY!!!...I have to get his attention...if he even kills me after that I don't care...but first... I need to save Di's baby...
Thats when she saw something shining from Shyam's right hand. He was hiding something behind his back...then she noticed that Shyam was near the kitchen...and she GASPED...she saw the KNIFE!!!!!...She felt darkness trying to reclaim her...she fought off the dizzying spell and ignoring all pain from her injured foot, which were bleeding again, dashed towards Arnav...
ASR raised his fist and landed it squarely into Shyams left shoulder...(and just as Arnav's body came closer to him to give another nerve-wrecking punch) Shyam closed his eyes and thrust the knife towards Arnav's HEART with all the strenght that was left in his throbbing body!!! AAAHHH!!!!!! Khushi screamed...She had pushed Arnav aside with her body and instead of it being Arnav's heart, it was Khushi's Shoulder...Shyam saw what Khushi had done and he pulled the knife from her shoulder ...and gave her a hard push...Khushi bumped her head hard against the pillar!!!! She gave another blood curdling scream, and slumped to the floor and he started to walk backwards to the door, keeping a firm eye on Arnav. He was incapable of running so he had pushed Khushi, knowing that Arnav WILL go to her aid.
Arnav (raced to her side):...Khushi!!! Khushi!!! (he tapped her cheeks)...Khushi!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES DAMN IT!!!
Khushi (eyes glazed with pain looked at Arnav): Arnavji...aaahhh!!!...A..A..AArnavji...Di...Di ko Bachaaooo!!!
(Khushi: ...Di...save Di!!!!)
Arnav(gentle voice): Khushi? Di is fine ...woh soe rahee hai...
(Arnav:...She is sleeping...)
Khushi(speaks while gasping with pain): naheee...woh soe nahee rahee...aah...aahhh...woh Shyam ji ne sab ke khaaney mein neend ki dawaa milai hai...aur Di ke bachchey ko khatraa...aahhh!!!
(Khushi: ...Nooo...she is not sleeping...aaah...aaahhh...that Shyamji mixed sleeping tabletsin everyones dinner...and Di's baby could be in danger...aahhh!!!)

Shyam, who was very quietly making his escape. didnot notice SOMEONE SNEAK UP behind him!!!!
SOMEONE...that Shyam had thought harmless and unimportant...blocked his path from behind...someone dressed colourfully in her short attire, someone beautiful and intelligent...(AND NO its NOT BUBBLY!!!!! Have you even seen how that little devil is hurting poor Payal)
THUMP!!!! Shyam tripped backwards...and FELL...LAXMIJI!!!!!...Arnav (seconds before he raced to Shyam made a mental PROMISE to let THAT GOAT not only sit on his bed but get a special servant appointed to take care of her day/night!!!!)...Arnav grabbed Shyam by his collar and snatched the knife from his hand and stabbed the very same hand and then twisted the knife while it was stuck in Shyam's hand. Shyam fell down.
ASR (dialled ambulance from mobile): HELLO!!!!...( WHAM!!!...he kicked Shyam's body)...THIS IS RAIZADA MANSION...(BANG!!!...he slammed his foot into Shyam's ribs)... YES ITS AN EMERGENCY!!! ...(SLAM!!! THUNK!!!!...Arnav started to kick Shyam repeatedly)... YES!!! ...SLEEPING TABLETS WERE MIXED BY SOMEONE IN DINNER, SEND HELP IMMEDIATELY!!!...saying that ASR shut the mobile and continued to SMASH his foot into Shyam's limp form.SCRUNCH!!!!CRUSH!!!! Shyams knees got dislocated. and one of his knee-caps got dislocated and was jutting out. He had passed out from the repeated blows, cuts and broken bones.
Hearing Khushi's painful sobs, Arnav quickly rushed to her, picked her up gently and carefully and rushed out to his BLACK SUV and deposited Khushi in the passenger seat. He then ran back inside and went to Anjali's room, picked her up and rushed downstairs...
Just then Aakash and Payal walked in. Seeing the shocking and miserable state of Shyam, Aakash opened his mouth to ask Arnav what had happened when Arnav said: NOT NOW, RING ME... EMERGENCY...Arnav had stated very brief words and had continued to walk to his SUV. AAkash and Payal acompanied him out. Payal seeing the state of Khushi (and knowing now was not the time to talk) quickly opened the back passenger door and jumped in. She helped Arnav put Anjali securely in her seat.
Payal: I AM COMING.
Aakash nodded and Arnav just ran to his drivers seat, and pressed his foot down on the accelerator and sped to the hospital... with the TWO MOST IMPORTANT WOMEN IN HIS LIFE...Unknown to him...that... fate was about to snatch one of those important women from him...TONIGHT!!!!! (While Arnav is driving, Aakash rings him and Arnav gives him a brief detail of what Shyam did to the family)
