Lately everyone is very upset with the show and CVs and so much criticism has been generated in this forum. I agree with those who are angry, upset and criticizing CVs for their tricks and games. One criticism I read was that show in a way never delivered progression of Kunal's character and Siddhi always received more attention. Kunal is still same looser we initially saw. Well let's take a close look at Kunal's character.

Sidhhi has always shown as Mahaan as she saved Veena, saved the house, helped Kunal in Rohit's case, knew about Raveena, convinced Vikram, knew about Richa, won the case and now knows about EMA first. All of these points are right and one may wonder where is Kunal here? I know, where is Kunal? So Siddhi saved Veena and the house, that's why Kunal started respecting Siddhi and considered her good enough person. Siddhi helped Kunal in Rohit's case, but Kunal was the first to know about Rohit and gathered all of the evidences. Siddhi later on helped Kunal because of her respect for Kunal's courage and principles. For that Thakral did torment Siddhi, it was Kunal who protected her. Yes Siddhi knew about Raveena all along, but final shot was by Kunal. Sidhhi did convince Vikram, but because she couldn't see Kunal in pain. Siddhi also knew about Richa's intention and Kunal was completely oblivious to that (why - there can be never ending debate on that), but Richa was not taken care of until Kunal wanted it. By the way I loved when he grabbed Richa by neck. Yes Siddhi is the one who won the case, but not possible without Kunal's help, how he dealt with Thakral and later kidnapping & hospital. Yes some of these issues gave more importance to Siddhi, but it was incomplete without Kunal. EMA will be last to discuss.

Now about the LOVE issue. Siddhi was first to realize her love and we got to see her POV of falling in love. Agreed 100%. Let's see how Kunal is at emotional stuff. He's not the person you expect saying lovely and emotional statements. Siddhi's POV of falling in love was portrayed with voice. Kunal's process was subtle, like his character. Kunal was shown changing some of his ways for Siddhi. Kunal attending Siddhi's birthday party (unexpected), said sorry to Siddhi more than anyone else, going to party on Sidhhi's insistence, taking insults from shilpa's in-law (not even in hell). Yes he said he did all that just thinking it was his duty since Siddhi did so much for his family, well Kunal never compromise his principles for his family. I agree we didn't see the falling in love process as much for Kunal as for Siddhi, but later from divorce track we saw Kunal fighting between his love for Siddhi and guilt of Anand. Just because Siddhi started loving Kunal didn't made any change and Siddhi's hapiness was completely based on Kunal's reaction.
Now the trust issue and if Kunal is a bit different or still the same dumb guy. He didn't trust Siddhi in Rohit's case, Richa knowing about divorce and now Gaurav's EMA. Well it was right for Kunal to doubt Siddhi during Rohit's case as it was just beginning of their relationship and everyone agrees. What we want to see if progress from that point on. Kunal did trust and supported Siddhi in Raveena's case, everyone agrees and loves those days. About Richa finding out about divorce, Kunal did blame Siddhi, but the fight was more of love than trust. Yes Kunal didn't trust Siddhi because she never told him about her presence in hotel. That would be upsetting to anyone, but even Siddhi was right that time, so both being right is always an issue. But if anyone remembers the whole conversation, "if Richa who claimed to love me can do this to me, why can't you? You don't even love me Siddhi, you have no feelings for me. Our marriage is just a compromise, right?" During this time the fight with-in Kunal of love and guilt was most intense. So by these words I saw Kunal's internal fight coming out with his insecurity and agony that Siddhi doesn't love him. So more of love and some trust.

Now Gaurav's EMA, Kunal is in bad situation. He trusts both his wife and his brother. But here the trust factor is beyond what we saw so far. Kunal had to be objective and listen to both. Because Siddhi was so emotional she did horrible job presenting the case (not that it was her fault). On the other hand Gaurav did mind-blowing job in defending himself. I already discussed this issue in my other post so not going to explain again. Kunal was right in avoiding this issue and ask Siddhi to forget about it. Now if it was old Kunal, he would start by yelling at Siddhi and not asking her to take care of herself. even though they had argument, all Siddhi did was pick a file and Kunal went running to her as lovely husband. I see significant improvement in Kunal's personal life and his interaction with Siddhi. First we only got to see anrgy and apathetic Kunal, now we see happy Kunal. Kunal was never portrayed as dumb, may be oblivious, just to create more drama. His life and sense of identity is more than what used to be. I liked that Kunal's personal life improvement is given more importance, as from psychological perspective it is more vital. Not to say that I don't want to see Kunal getting a job. Of course Kunal can't be shown unemployed and I'll still accept it as alright. He must be getting job, CVs are making huge mistake here by dragging on personal issues.

Now Gaurav's EMA and past week. I agree 100% that last week and the way EMA was introduced, form no place it was Kunal's Parichay. I too was ranting about that. For me, last week and EMA is worst of Parichay. But soon they have to show Kunal taking charge here, since SIddhi can't really handle any situation on her own. But we've seen Kunal's Parichay so far. I've seen improvement in Kunal's character and Sinal relationship. I am not saying above mentioned issues were handled perfectly, yes there were bloopers, but focus was on Kunal for the most part. Whatever happened, it was around Kunal, he had greatest impact on things and surrounding had effect on Kunal. It would be wrong to say we never got what we were told. The focus has been misguided from past weeks. Now CVs must improve this EMA track soon. Viewers tolerated enough bloopers and mistakes. It had effct on quality, dignity and trps of the show.

I am happy that Sameer sir is back in full frame and it did give me some relief, but that doesn't mean they can keep focusing on Siddhi and portray Kunal useless. But I'm hopeful that focus is shifting on Kunal and we will see out unpredictable, politically incorrect, angry protagonist. Many might not agree with me and there could be debate in process, well let's see.

Completely agreed. This track is tailor made to bring the raging lion back. In terms of believing Gaurav or Siddhi he is truly caught between a rock and a hard place. But these issues like Siddhi accusing Gaurav; and now getting locked in Aksha's flat are creating the build up. If Siddhi leaves the house or God- forbid has a miscarriage Kunal will be back to his raging lion avatar. He will expose Gaurav's truth and pulverize him. Honestly even in his raging avatar it is possible to show him as a doting husband and father because thats who Kunal Chopra is: Hard on the outside and a soft sensitive person on the inside.
