i thought of posting it becuase someone had made a loose reference to women forced into prostiution. i thought this would enlighten people like them as to the difference between "prostitutes" and the likes of gauri.
these prostitutes hold my respect and admiration.
these women resisted theri fate or gave in due to violence and financial problems. like the one who decided to protitute heself to pay off for her brothers cancer.
not like gauri who pimped herself to one man but what ds it matter.
i dont think it is fair to compare these helpless unfortunate women with gauri and likes.
sexual slavery and prostituion are always forced. either due to physical violence or due to economic hardships ... women have no choice. cannot be compared to someone being a mistress willingly.

yes its very touching...you can also watch the movie call "TAKEN" its also about Sex Slaves. But when globally the mathematician does the statistic they do not mention the sex slaves per my knowledge they also put sex slaves under prostitution as far as I know. If you know something different for this let me. It will be good for to me know. Also you can watch indian movie "Bazaar" from Manisha Coirala... thanks

yes its difference but when man from society check the mistress and forced slavery same way. Unless the mistress' man is powerful person.
I am not comparing Gauri with Slaved women I am saying that society will not get those women's biodata before judging them\...only reason we know Gauri is bad because this is fiction charactor...but in reality no one will be know the truth of mistress. Watch the movie call ZAKHAM by Pooja Bhutt and Ajay Devghan...there are lots of cases where mistress are due to circomstance...yes Gauri is not those poor women...but she is also women. and YES GAURI IS ILLEGAL and WRONG.

yes everything is circumstancial. same way i wudnt hate a woman who is a mistress due to some problem ... but gauri is not . she never had any problem.
and one thing i liked about the documentry was that husbands love for his wife.
also i have already watched taken and bazaar. but un untill now i thought it was kind of exaggerated but no. its is a very sad truth. and wether sex slave or prosttute it is essentiallyte same thing the dfference is prostitutes act alone, walk the streets and earn while sex slaves are bouded and dont earn anything.
also i dont remember who exactly posted that comment but i just thought of elaborating on the subject since it is sensitive ad very sad. itna dukh to gauri ne dekha hi nahi fr bhi sympathy bator rahi hai. i guess it is not proper to mix the two subjects its lke mixing apple juice with acid.

I am not sympathized with Character of Gauri...I am just talking in reallty no one know if that particular women choose to be mistress or circumstance made her to be mistress...same with Prostitution and sex slaves...yes difference is money but..how do we know unless we hear their story. Generally if some one call xyz woman mistress world will automatically change their view toward that xyz woman because word Mistress, Prostitue..have very negative impact to society...more than 50% people will judge that woman by the word not even try to give her chance to share her story. And yes you are right it was nice that man was loving his wife and searching her. I wish all man in world are like that.

Again, for the campaign against the word 'Mistress', Gauri is clearly the wrong poster child. Nuff said.

Exactly, women are tortured in all sorts of ways, no way Gauri is a poster girl for any of them. To refrain from from calling her a mistress because of the unfair labelling of these women doesn't make any sense. She had a choice in every step, she chose to be a mistress. And recent events have confirmed that she is actually happy being a mistress. If she wasn't she would have made sure the divorce went through quietly, instead of urging Jagya to bargain for property. Clearly for her money is the priority, not becoming a legal wife. Therefore mistress is an apt word for her.
