DC... Most of what he does makes sense. He is not one you can dislike. Even with all his manipulations, he also has set rules and principles. He is right, this is fame... there will have to be some sort of give and take, as well as going through a hard path.

However, pulling that hug trick... that's something that will sting the most. Everything else is justifiable. Yes, it's manipulation, scheming and such. But still justifiable. But putting that mark on a girl...(even if careful that it's only to the contestants and it won't go on air or public)... that's one thing that is a whole different ball game.

I wonder if Sandhya knows... She wasn't there when Bobby showed them the clips, was she. She was there later when Meenaxi showed up, but not while Bobby showed them that clip.

DC knows very well that even though he has said that Meenakshi is one of the contestants who could win the title of ASA he knows she may walk out anytime ... she is not a professional dancer or polished while the others are to a major extent she is someone who has dreams and wants to fulfill it...So the reason which he called her first was to make her aware of the KaramBhoomi and RanBhoomi..This was mainly mentoring her for the game ... Later he knew that they can throw her out easily as she is not BOLD nor is she going to SPEAK back so he wanted to shield her with his hug which was mainly his execution to cause insecurities among the rest 16 contestants (will leave Sameer aside for now)

Only that was shown on purpose to the contestants through Bobby, Yes Sandhya has no clue of it and donno if DC will tell her maybe Bobby would do sometime...Looking at the way it was prtayed it was for the contestants to build teh bases of plotting against Meenakshi as somewhere the spark has to errupt and also this was needed to make Meenakshi start her self defensive mechanism but she needs to understand that for that her intelligence has to kick in...

DC does keep his morals intact and looking at that this footage is solely kept there and will be closed at the moment and the story moving further is what DC will now looking as the baby ASA is being born ...

You can call me lik. And yeah, after I wrote this I read through the Episode Discussion Thread, which made it clear Sandhya doesn't know about it.

Because all the implications were not that it was simply he was rooting for her, and was giving her tips. I agree that that's what he was doing. But when showing them the hug, plenty of them thought in their heads that something was going on. The way the other girls looked at her. The way all of them looked at her.

I don't know whether he hugged her for calming her down or for purely his own reasonings. She was naturally scared once he pinned her, and even as he said ' if you hesitate' as she was still pinned. I can buy that he hugged her for calming her down.

But showing that hug to the other contestants, yes I get that it achieved what he wanted. But still...as I said, I can justify everything else. But doing something like that purposely... that's a girl's reputation fallen in the eyes of those other contestants. Now granted, Karishma may have started a rumor anyway after a while. But that's different than purposely putting it out there.

Unless you are telling me that they all just viewed that hug as nothing more than him giving her special treatment and rooting for her to win, rather than viewing it as her carrying on with DC in some way or the other.

But either way, I can buy that fame costs these things. If the writers had guts, I wouldn't mind Meenaxi understanding everything was done to make her stronger, while taking the greatest offence in his perpetuation that she was having some kind of illicit relationship. But then she herself acknowledge, you know what...that's this murky entertainment world, and that's the price of fame. Still wouldn't excuse DC for placing that perpetuation, but it would be a harsh blow for him to see that this girl to become more 'real' from the wide eyed innocent, seedhi-sadhi ladki she was.

Instead of her lashing out at him, her acceptance would cut deeper.
