She has been the reason to smile for me on many a day as I watch this show.
Her innate sense of humor even with the serious ASR, her absolute craziness, her sparkling smile...everything just leaves me so much happier.
It eases many a burden and soothes many a wound.
But, but, but...
What is it doing to Khushi's character?
Whenever I want to see Khushi getting some repentence or happiness I am robbed of the chance because CVs make it comical.
For example, when she left the Raizada house after ASR-La engagement, I wanted ASR to miss her and feel sad for her, but she was back the next day with comedy and I was like what the!
I consoled myself. I thought her turn will come.
Next after marriage, when her family disowned her and she was slapped, I wanted her family to repent and feel sad and miss Khushi. Especially during the pag phera when she went to Gupta house and she was thrown out. But what the!
She was back into the house eating chana! I consoled myself I thought her turn will come.
Then came all the intense hatred from ASR post heer ranjha. She gave him the silent treatment. He missed her. I thought wow, for once we are seeing some retribution for Khushi.
But what the! She was back with the swami and bathing and other tracks
I consoled myself. I thought there is more to come. She will get her due.
Then I saw Garima and Khushi talk and I saw ASR feeling bad.
Then I thought here is the big chance. Khushi will get her due.
Then comes the suicide track!
Every time, each time, whenever I hope for intensity and pain for Khushi it is watered down by the CVs with too much comedy.
They never treat any Khushi issue seriously and Khushi loses the impact.
Each time she deserves the dignity and sympathy of repentance, the CVs ruin it with comedy.
All the intensity is given to ASR and even Payal and may be later even HP and Laxmi, but Khushi is ruined again and again with comedy.
End result is Khushi is called insensitive, stupid and bizarre where as she actually never got her due.
By making Khushi associated to comedy all the time, the CVs are robbing our chance to see this girl healing and paid back for some of the troubles she has got.
The comedy makes people forget that behind that mask is a girl bleeding inside.
And I personally hate it if at least sometimes they can't show Khushi being valued or made up to. She deserves the dignity.
Even after the truth revelation, if they continue this I have no words to express how very much I will be disappointed.
