For the beauty queen, food is all about health |
The Indian super model, Femina Miss India Earth 2002 Reshmi Ghosh has a special charm- her magnetic eyes and smile. Being in the business of looking good, Reshmi takes food very seriously. There are too many dos and don'ts for her. She shares them with us. Eat right My profession demands a proper health regime, so I eat right and healthy. I start my day drinking at least 1 litre of water, and after sometime a glass of lemon water. Breakfast is always a toast with low fat butter, egg white scrambled and a fruit. Lunch consists of a chapati, dal, sabji and fish (twice a week). I have typical ghar ka khana cooked in very little oil. The same goes for dinner, it is always light. It may be some soup, salad, sabji, dal, chapati, I believe in having an early dinner at around 8.30 or 9.00 the latest. Though I love chocolate pastries and Bengali sweets I have them very occasionally. Avoid eating out I deliberately avoid eating out. Since I don't eat out much I don't have any favourite eating spot but I like to eat at a Goan food restaurant at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. Love eating Thai, seafood, Indian food and ofcourse Bengali food. My all time favourite is chocolate pastries. I cook for others I am basically not a very good cook, but I love cooking for others. I simply follow the recipe books and try and cook delicious food for my family and friends. I can never cook for myself. I have learnt some delicious recipes from my mom and granny like dum aloo, prawns and some Bengali dishes. I regularly do my exercise, go the gym, but I don't over exert myself. I work out just to keep myself fit and in shape. I do light exercises. Meditation is the best as it helps acquire the power of concentration and helps you stay cool. I also take special care of my skin and hair. I use aloe vera products for my face, skin, and hair. Health mantra Always eat healthy, keep smiling from your heart only then you can be a good human being. Drink healthy and drink a lot of water. On a dinner date It would have to be dinner in Greece with my lover. I would travel in my dream car, carry a folding table, delicious food, some drinks and pastries. A romantic evening in front of a seashore on top of the mountain, surrounding by nature, under the starry sky and light romantic western classical music playing in the background with no one around just the birds chirping would be ideal. |
