Guys

I want a frank opinion from all the audience in this forum.

What has been your childhood experience on discipline in India.

Has it been

1) Only counselling

2) Timeouts

3)Occassional slaps, spanking as well

4) Getting punished like getting locked in the room

Also,any insights on how is discipline treated now...in India...with your kids...

I think this will make an interesting discussion. Please do send your opinions.

I cant sum it up in a post. But all I can say is that things are not like serials; in real life every person has a background and his own reasons.

Parents are just not parents they are individuals whose behaviour is affected by their upbringing, their education, their society, their neighbourhood, culture and traditions. Every person has a background and has own reasons and mentality.

My childhood started from my village where we were in a joint family and traditions were topmost priority, and then to city where i got my proper education and knew about urban thinking, their lifestyle, politics, social issues etc.
