Toasty, her mom and our thinkings

Nitika married and went to Ved's house to live with him. We don't think, where is her self-respect, she has gone to live with her husband's family, but then when a situation arises and Toasty's mom offers to have Ved-Nitika at their house, the self-respect question arises.

From day 1, I've seen how Toasty insults her mom. I do agree there have been times when Sudha irritates me big time but Toasty behaves as if she is the most clever person in the universe and her mom an idiot.

Ved claims that he didn't want people to know what's going on in their house. Is he such a kid to think taht he would leave home, work in a rival shop and people won't know about it?

Just b'coz Sudha wants to help Ved Nitika doesn't mean she is questioning Ved's ability to earn n keep Nitika in a better place. Otherwise even Toasty should not bring food for them as she is questioning Nitika's ability to cook!

what I did like the most is the men of Chaturvedi house distributing house work n not feeling ashamed to do work.

Nitika is an adult and can make decisions for her life. She has always loved Ved and when her parents were forcefully trying to marry her off to an unknown/unseen guy and Ved's family was more than willing to help her escape that life-changing situation, Nitika followed her heart and married Ved. She didn't shun her parents, but they did and refused to give her the blessings. Since then Nitika has been a very realistic yet sweet and understanding bahu as well as wife. I don't see a reason to make complaints about her.

and that's a valid point...toasty cooking food and undermining nitika's abilities to cook or ved's abilities to provide for them two is fine...but her mom showing her love and insisting they stay with her is wrong?? how is that wrong?? if ti were me i'd probably politely decline too, but inside i'd feel happy knowing how much someone cares about me and how they think of me as their own as nitika definately is feeling at the moment and most likely ved too. and it's not only ved's well being that matters..nitika's matters too they always undermine the girl. first they leave her at the alter, then they bring her to the house, then they throw her and her husband out over something so stupid, and now they are going on and on about ved...noone is telling pashup that he has no right to throw someone out of hte house it's not his alone. so far he has caused malati babhi to leave, prachin to leave, thrown toasty out, tej started his own business, and now ved too?? clearly htis guy needs to see his reflection in the mirror.

I just hate toasty for these very reasons and why I stopped watching the show. she behaves as if she is on a mission to insult her mother and prove that toasty is the best DIL in the world. whatever toasty does is right, if it goes wrong then somehow the writers make it good in the end but her mom comes out to be interfering in other's affairs and gets insulted every time.

If a girl after marries stops caring for her own parents then for me such a person has been most imperfect. Just to be an angel in her inlaws eyes, Toasty she hurts her parents unnecessarily.

it is as if she is the mother and her mom has no brains. for once I would like to see toasty asking her mum for help but being sent away for prev incidents. but then it won't happen.

n yes, I hope no one gets a daughter like toasty. 😡
