Asli Bhakti for me-is standing in the middle of the road and remebering God...or saying an "Aiyoo Deva"-OMG in Konkani...like the stories say, true Bhakti isnt about just chanting Gods name-its about devotion and faith...
i wasnt very spiritual before, but certain things in life changed me-Mangueshi(Shiva) and Ganapati Bappa got me out of horrid situations-it was simple faith that they will do good for me...
God accepts anything given from the heart with true emotion and devotion...specially hamare ShivJi...
my Mom told me one story...
there is a tribal boy who is a hunter-he is a big Shiv Bhakt, but is always hounded off by the pious priest who thinks hes below him.One day the Boy offers meat to Mahadev and says i dont have anything else to give please accept this, the pandit is furious and beats him up,and the boy as penance wants to offer his eye to ShivJi...ShivJi appears and tells him not to do that and says that it doesnt matter what someone has offered him-its the faith that matters, and accepts what he has given
That is why Shiv Ji even gets pleased with a modest Bilva leaf-he only wants faith, trust, love and devotion
