Shilpa Anand, the vivacious and beautiful actress is remembered even today for her role in Star One's Dill Mill Gayye. Though the pretty lass has been away from television and has gotten busy with movies, still she is looking for a role on television that will impress her.
In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Shilpa Anand talks about her present priorities.
"I have completed the shoot of the film Bloody Ishq which is being directed by Arup Bhatt. We have shot in the locales of Bangkok, and it was a very good experience. My other film Alert 24/7 which has a huge cast comprising of Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Kabir Bedi, Raveena Tandon and Ruslaan Mumtaz is also underway. I will be finishing the shoot by May. It's a political film and we have shot in Goa and Mumbai. This movie is also due for a September release."
Talking about the schedule of film shoots, Shilpa avers, "It's an easy job shooting for movies when compared to TV. It seems like I am having a holiday while shooting for the big screen."
Furthermore, ask her about her favourite show on television and she is quick to say, "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is my favourite. I love the chemistry between Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. In fact, I am amazed to see the kissing scene on the show. I guess this is one big change that television has seen. They do come up with new subjects, but a kissing scene really surprised me." So is she comfortable getting intimate on the screen? "All depends on the situation and the frame of mind I am in. I just can't say anything at this moment."
Talking about the wedding of her co actors (in Dill Mill Gayye) Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget, Shilpa says, "I am very happy for them. During Dill Mill Gayye days, they used to hide from one and all and roam around. Their closeness was very obvious, but I guess they were waiting for the right time. Karan and Jennifer are very similar to each other, and are compatible. I wish them all the very best for their future."
And then she goes to describe about her Mr Perfect, "I am still single and am enjoying this phase. I hope to get a nice human being, who is loyal, decent and intelligent."
Lastly, she says, "I am open to doing television if I come across a good offer, a role that will leave a mark. And to my fans, I would like to tell them not to have high expectations from me as far as my movies go (smiles). I am grateful to them for all the support they have showered."
