Oh the sweet 'Adorable' Saasuma - Garima!!!!

No I have nothing against an MIL fussing over her SIL. In fact I enjoy their chemistry as MIL-SIL.

Garima's understanding nature WRT Arnav is really adorable. And Garima is very believable as the doting MIL.

But I cannot forgive her just becoz she is good MIL to Arnav.

No, I have no objections whatsoever regarding her disowning Khushi for some time after the marriage... that was IMO a natural reaction from her. This is how parents react when their children elope and get married. (And for all they know, Arnav and Khushi did just that. The rest is only our privillege to know). That's not my point of annoyance.

My actual sour point is her insisting that Khushi should not tell about Shyam to Anjali. She was never convinced of it, even though Buaji accepted it. And when Khushi for her own reasons decided not to tell, she glorified Khushi's decision like anything...That act was very selfish. It was Garima's words that had an influence on Khushi in the end and she decided to keep quiet about Shyam. It was Garima's prime concern for Payalia's marriage that had Khushi sacrificing her whole life to an ill meaning Arnav (describing his them state of mind...), that too without the slightest idea as to WHY she is going through this ordeal...

Again now, she complains to Payal on phone that Khushi troubles Arnav a lot, but has she asked Khushi why she keeps doing so? Has she looked for any signs?

That apart, being a married woman myself, I know how it is when you go to your Maayka with my hubby and Son. Even though everyone wants to dote on my 2 year old, even though daamaad does have all their attension, mom craves to have a one on one - all sharing moment with me. Just me and her, just to catch up, or share some things, just to shower her daughter as well with love... In most of the families I know, this is exactly the scene. And I proudly belong to the middle class...

Has Garima showed an inclination for this? NO way!!!! And that is why I cannot relate with her being the doting MIL.

BTW, nothing against Arnav here. He is showing gr8 maturity in getting to know his in laws better and being almost a son to them. He is doing it beautifully. To confess he has exceeded my expectations in this department and surprised me very pleasantly. Kudos!!!!

I am just saying that I cannot forgive Garima so easily just becoz she is a doting MIL...

I agree with your points, Garima was jtrying to prevent Payal's marriage breaking up again...and yes it was at Khushi's expense. I wonder if she would have done the same if the tables were turned, and it was Khushi instead of Payal - bet she would have spoken up loud and clear then.
