Isn't Dr.Mathur Colonel's FIL? Isn't that the reason for giving their ancestral home to Nidhi? Then why is Nidhi's Dad addressing him as Dr.? Don't they know that they are related?

Doctor Mathur aka Aloknath is Ashu's Baba and Nidhis Nana and hence Nidhis baba is addressing hims as Doctor

Nidhis Baba is Colnel Verma

Shouldn't Colonel address him as Papa instead of Dr.?

Actually he is suppose to address Dr.Mathur as baba or papa but i guess the directors thought that both of them look almost of the same age on screen hence decided to address each other with their respective names..😉
