Pritam made this album gleam and speak loud about itself. One of the best albums of the year with complete entertaining pleasure. Irrespective of the allegations about plagiarism, the album stood still on the top and turned chartbuster over the passage of time. 'Ya Ali' and 'Bheegi Bheegi' from new voices Zubin and James have turned anthems of sorts followed by K.K.'s 'Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai'.
Himesh Reshammiya continues with his hit streak with this latest release. Himesh fans made sure that whatever came out from his closet gets its due credit. With new tunes in the fore, he came out with a wide range of good songs. From qawallis to romance, from 'Aawan Ankhiyan', 'Allah Kare' to 'Ahista Ahista', this is one of Himesh's best. Shankar Ehsaan Loy are once again carrying a hit tag to their name with the music of KANK. Though the album has the soul of their former collection 'Kal Ho Na Ho' it is no doubt very impressive and something perfect for a Karan Johar film. All the songs ranging for the title track, 'Tumhi Dekho Na', 'Mitwa', 'Rock N Roll Soniye', and 'Where Is The Party Tonight', are infused with life and energy making the album a rocking one. The album is top selling at the moment and is likely to pick up in the days to come. After DDLJ Jatin Lalit once again treat the Yash Raj banner with an album that is selling like hot cakes. 'Chand Sifarish', 'Dekho Na' and 'Mere Haath Mein' are the awesome tracks that are keeping the sales of the album soaring. With the name of the reputed people of the industry attached to the music, the music lovers are not taking a chance. Anu Malik at the helm of affairs came out with likeable and hummable tracks like 'Fanaa', 'Rock Star' and 'For Your Eyes Only'. And after the title track by Himesh Reshammiya featured in the promo, the sales soared higher. Be it Any Malik or Himesh, it was the music buffs who were having a great time. A fun filled album composed by Himesh Reshammiya. He laced the tracks with his voice and the graced the screen featuring in the promotional albums of the film. 'Jhoom Jhoom', 'Sarfaroshi', 'Tanha Jeeya Na Jaaye' are the hit tracks of the album. It's only Himesh who takes the whole credit for the amazing sound track that set the floor on fire. Pritam did compose an impressive soundtrack but sadly it went unnoticed. 'Ek Pal Ke Liye', 'Tumse Yu Milenge', 'Ankahee' and 'Aa Paas Aa' are original and beautiful numbers that one rarely comes across. It was not one of those albums that got lapped from the first day of it release itself. The result is that it is underrated but the good thing is that it is gradually picking up. 'Jaaneman' and 'It's a Beautiful Day' along with 'Ek Look' and 'Teri To' are some quality tracks that you can cherish. With the film's release the album may pick up again.
This is one of the funkier albums that we have come across this year. Vishal Shekhar brings in new sound with stylishly arranged song. It is a fun album, which has the potential to go a long way. The credit goes to Himesh Reshammiya once again for 'Aashique' which was a smash hit. Also '24X7', 'Dil Tumhare Bina' and 'Jab Kabhi' helped with the proceedings.
