Did Sandhya seriously expect to win?

Sandhya's gulabjamun turned out to be a disaster. When the results were announced Sandhya just stood with a very sad and shocked expression. Did she really expect to win?
OK. What happened to her sportmanship? When a winner is announced, even competitors try to smile and applaud. And Sandhya is educated and knows these things.

Yes Sandhya has faced failures before in the Rathi household but maybe she just was too numb and shocked with the disaster of the Jamun's and could not react with the thought of upsetting and disappointing her Bhabho and Suraj again...

I dont think she had any ill-will or ill-feeling towards other contestants but the feeling of dejection, defeat and resignation after the way Suraj has been behaving...

This is my analysis of the situation - putting myself in Sandhya's shoes...

Juna, I just can't reconcile this Sandy with previous day's Sandy dealing with those louts. Same person wouldn't just stand there and look sad. She could have at least looked away, down, something to show her frustration. Or looked at her burns. Either she or the director has to give her some dignity.

Finally skimmed thru yesterdays epi - and I thought the same...she had a look of anticipation and then dejection when the winner was announced...did she really expect to win -
