I really dont want BBP to acknowledge Puja because there is a baby. That is plain wrong. Women being baby factories to be owned by men goes against my grain...but then reproduction is a big deal for Indian stories it seems... I would rather he acknowledges that he would lose a part of himself without her....acknowledges the real reason that he trapped her through marriage - because like he once said he could not bear the thought of a life where she did not exist alongside him. It is quite deplorable that women in a society like ours have to resort to the institution of motherhood to claim their rights but with a man like BBP it might be her strongest point. To understand and exhibit the subtleties of relationship , the individual's socio- cultural millieu ,upbringing and personal values play a vital role. Unfortunately BBP had been an orphan; he has spent half of his life with a bunch of psychopaths and has the tendency to give in only when he is pushed to the wall .In the confession EPI he confess after pooja had a near death experience. If he acknowledges Pooja only for love , it would be very liberating but if he doesnot then the baby may help him to release himself from the darkness that surrounds him .
