Hi!

I have always been very curious about Hindi film songs that were inspired (not copied songs) by western melodies, chord progression or even vocals that recall western music. I am now trying to compile a list of the best 50 songs of this kind- preferably from the 60s and 70s (as the times after the 70s witnessed major plagiarism of popular western tunes). I would request members of this forum to help me come up with this list by suggesting songs that might fit this list.

I would like to get started by listing about 5 songs:

1. Chura Liya from Yaadon Ki Baraat
2. Baahon Mein Chale Aao from Anamika
3. Bhul Gaya Sab Kuch from Julie
4. Roz Shaam Aati Thi from Imtihaan (Old one with Vinod Khanna & Tanuja)
5. Ajeeb dastan Hai Yeh from Dil Apna Preet Parayi

The Typical "Rock n Roll" songs of the 60s may be a fit, I'm not too sure at this point. :)

Let the fun begin!

Thanks in advance... AZZERION
