manav is over protective and thats completely justified , otherwise teju ovi wud have landed in a chawl and one accident and she wud be on the road asking manav to do something and the family wud have ignored the couple agn
Nirvan, the loss of the children wasn't Archana's irresponsibility. The loss of first baby was due to lack of money (a stupid story line ... Satish and others could have helped...also i doubt a hospital would cause a baby to die because of lack of funds) How was this her fault? I remind you that Manav just disappeared when they lost the baby...leaving her hysterical and grieving for both the baby and not even knowing where he went or if he would be back ever? Only because he was unable to deal with his own grief? That is not totally self centered? Nice husband...really supportive of his wife...like an immature child he was...not a man. His role was to grieve WITH her not to cause her more unbearable pain. To me this was one of the most unforgiveable things Manav ever did.
And Soham. Somehow you have forgotten that Manav wanted to give Soham away permanently to Satish and it was Archana who stopped it.. Yes, Archana was always stupid to trust her sisters. But then we are looking in from the outside. Varsha or Vaishu are not OUR sisters, they are Archana's. I think all of us would be hard pressed to think how we might deal with such a situation in our own families. Her mistake was terrible...there is no question. Why isn't Satish or the doctor who verified her being cured being held accountable? Why was it only Archana's fault? Do you really think she gave Soham to Varsha for a couple of hours, knowing that Varsha would kidnap him? Yes it was irresponsible on her part, but so was everyone else irresponsible...not just Archana. It is totally wrong for Manav to blame Archana. Blame Varsha, it was she who did it. Blame the ones who continually pushed Archana to give Soham away...and constantly made her feel like having her own child was selfish...You remember? the woman that pressed and pushed and pushed and pressed Archana to give away Soham to Varsha. The loving, doting grandmother...Savita, Manav's mother.
Underneath it all i still will like Manav in the end...but he has to grow up, stop being one of the most selfish characters in the show, stop abusing his wife, and start wanting happiness for his children...the happiness they need in being with their mother. Then he will have a chance in my heart again.
