Here comes part three.Hope u will enjoy!

Part Three

The Face Off with the Past

Streaks of lightning crossed the sky with the rumble of thunder.

Aarti and Yash glared at each other.

"No way am I going to let him win this game!"Aarti thought as she eyed the ball.

"Yash Sindhiya and defeat?They never go well together!"Yash said to himself as he narrowed his eyes looking at the ball.

Another thunder rumbled indicating them to start the game.Aarti quickly reached for the ball as she hit it with full force up in the air.

Yash ran to stand in between the high shot ball and the basket and raised his stick to bar the ball when unexpectedly the ball bounced off the stick and hit Aarti straight on her forhead!

"AaHhh!!"she screamed and she felt her body sway.She shut her eyes very tight hoping her head to hit the hard court when she felt a pair of strong arms prevent her from falling.

Aarti lifted her eyes to see Yash staring at her intently with lines of worry clearly visible on his forehead.She steadied herself and heard Yash say,"I am so sorry aarti.I had not meant to hit the ball at you"

Aarti smiled and said,"Yash,it is a game and injuries are bound to happen!I think I've had enough hockey for a lifetime!"

They both looked at the ball bouncing and their hockey sticks laid aside.They looked at each other and burst out laughing.

Yash was waiting for ten minutes at the door.What was she doing inside the bathroom!?

"Aarti,just ten more seconds,If you're not coming out then I'm coming in!"he yelled.

"NO!"she said from inside.

"10..9..8..7..6..5.."Yash started counting when her voice stopped him.

"Wait I am coming!"Aarti replied and the door slowly opened.

Aarti came out crossing her arms over her torso.Yash stared at her.She looked..beautiful!

"Aarti..?"he slowly called out.

"Yash,can you please give me my dupatta.Please?"she said still holding her head down.

Yash looked around and saw her pink duppatta lying on the bed.He took the dupatta in his hand as he walked slowly towards her.

He placed the dupatta around her neck and gently removed her crossed arms.Aarti closed her eyes at the burning feeling.

Yash pushed back a lock of her hair behind her ear and cupped her face.

"Aarti,did I tell you you look really beautiful?"he asked her.

She quickly bent down trying to hide her blush and nodded saying,"This is the 3824^th time you're saying this"

Yash chuckled and continued,"I don't know but you seem beautiful every second to me."

Aarti closed her eyes and bent her face down.Yash slowly reached for her waist and jerked her closer to him.

Arti's eyes shot open at Yash's action.

"Yash.."she started but her voice trailed as she saw him lowering his head.

Aarti closed her eyes and tilted her head to give him access to her lips.

"Just once..I will kiss her one last time so that the feel of her lips will linger in my forever!"Yash thought as he covered the distance between them.

His hands moved around her body in their own accord as his fingers reached for her dori.He was about to open the strings when he realised what he was doing!

He jerked her away from him and moved back.

He didn't say anything and walked into the washroom to get a hold of himself.

Aarti sank to the ground as tears threatened to fall.What was wrong with him?

Why didn't he kiss her?

Was she that bad?

Did he think of Arpita?

Aarti felt her world spin as she consoled herself and controlled her heartbeats.After relaxing a bit,she walked out of the room throwing one glance at it..

Time flew by fast and before she knew,it was five in the evening.Her heart thudded very fast at the very thought of her going on a date with Yash.

She remembered that there was a pain on his face whenever he saw her.She asked him so many times but he told her that he was tired because of the work and wanted to take a nap.

Aarti was lost in thoughts that she did not see him enter the room.

Yash stared at her and slowly called out,"Aarti,do you want to spend the whole night staring outside the window?"

She was startled and embarrassed."I was going to change!"Aarti said as she quickly picked a salwar and rushed inside.

The drive was silent and Aarti knew something was wrong..BIG TIME.

She looked at Yash.He looked glum as if a part of him was going away from him.

The car stopped in front of a private park that read Sindhra Private Park.

Yash opened the door and made Aarti get down.The moment she placed her legs on the ground,Yash blindfolded her.

"Yash what are you doing?"she asked him in a whisper.

"Sshh"he hushed her and lead her into the park.He whispered "Take care" to her and slowly removed the blindfold.

Aarti was about to turn back to ask Yash why he had told her to take care when he was there,she felt her world crumble under her feet.

In front of her stood the man,whom she loathed the most-Prashant!

Hey guyz..I know many are asking this question.The truth is both Aarti and Yash love each other but they're scared tht their partners are still in love with their ex.That is the reason whick prevents AarYa from confessing!
