They make the most enviable of all the couples in the television industry. Jennifer Winget and hunk Karan Singh Grover tied the knot on April 9, 2011. Details of the wedding were a closely-guarded secret. However, 11 days later, the newlywed bride spoke exclusively to TOI.Why was the wedding so hush-hush? We wanted our marriage to be a family affair with just close Friends in attendance and we stuck to that.
Give us the entire low down on the wedding. Due to time constraints we didn't really have many rituals. We just had a haldi ceremony and two days later, the wedding at home.
Who designed your wedding dress? I was wearing a white gown made by my good friend and designer, Jerry D'souza and Karan wore a black tuxedo by Armani.
Being a girl, didn't you dream of a grand wedding? I dreamt of a perfect, beautiful wedding, where all my loved ones would be there to bless me and my husband. And perfect, beautiful and best is what I got.
At what stage did you realise that you were ready to take the plunge? I don't really know the exact date and time but when we got together, both of us just knew that we'll be spending The Rest of our lives with each other. Marriage was just the next card in the deck.
Is it true that your father wasn't too keen on this alliance? Not true at all. My parents love Karan and are very happy for us.
How will you keep Karan tied down to you? I don't have any plan or any strategies up my sleeve. In all modesty... look who the hunk has married.
Are you a typical wife, who likes to cook and bring bed tea for your husband? I am a wife who loves to do things for her husband. Fortunately, my husband doesn't drink tea.
How is life post marriage for you? Awesome! To be honest, it doesn't feel any different. I have a very loving husband and nice in-laws. I feel extremely blessed.
What have you learned about each other post marriage that you didn't know earlier?We've been friends for the past seven years, so there's nothing that we didn't know about each other.
What's about honeymoon plans? Due to work, we won't be able to leave the city for sometime but we plan to go to Las Vegas soon.
What's happening work wise for both of you? It's hush-hush.
