Hi Guys,

I really feel bad for all tv actors specially Barun Sobti because he is so close to our hearts after reading the article mentioned below.

We as fans can to some extent try to help them. I know its very difficult for us to wait even on the weekends for Monday to come. But can we not do something for our Barun's health and happiness?

Barun Sobti who plays 'Arnav Singh Raizada' on Star Plus 'Iss Pyar ko Kya Naam Doon' stresses on the work pressure the stars are under "Indian Television needs to make a move on and with so many cases of ill health in the industry it is certain that such work pressures are difficult to take for a very a long time. I really hope it eases out soon"

I'm in favour of reducing the telecast of the shows to three days a week so that they get atleast two days off a week and work for normal number of hours per day (8hrs).

Let me know what do you all think. Any suggetsions and comments are most welcome as to what we can do to help our Barun.

ha ha that should tell you how hard it is to do without barun.

but yes, i agree they have to do something about the actors' work hours. and hate to say it but have considered only 3 days of barun a week myself. it will kill me, but then that's what love usually does, huh?

seriously, can't bear to think of barun sobti or anyone being worked to a point of ill health. this is wrong at too many levels.

it's always hard to state difficult truths. am sure something good will come of all the concern we've expressed ever since we heard he wasn't well.

If PH plans ahead and banks atleast 10 episodes i guess lead actors can get atleast every sunday off. Also they should come with interesting parallel thread which keeps viewers glued so the screen space is shared and the load on lead actors shoulder is lessened.

What puzzles me is that why they don't get the weekends off like in most other serials. I know they don't have an episode bank, so if they are shooting for the Monday episode on Friday and for the Tuesday episode on Monday, what are they shooting on the weekends?.

They should have longer episode time (60 Mins) and than they only need to produce 3 epis per week,. thats what happens in the UK for long running serials!

It would also help if they had structured plots and proper planning and banks of epis pre-recorded to cover such time of health.

Also if they had more characters with inter woven stories they wouldn't be under so much presure.

Everyone deserves time off to be with their familys !!!

Wishing that Barun gets well soon, and that he is made aware that we are all thinking of him .
