Why do stupid saas bahu serials which only have whimpering bahus and strict saas's work better than serials with strong women protoganists? Why do women like to see bahus who allow themselves to become totally dominated?

Even serials like Diya or bati hum which was supposed to be about supportive man who helps a woman fufill her dreams has again become and stupid saas bahu drama.

But I also feel that a serial like Afsar Bitiya should also allow some wins for the heroine rather than her always being put in difficult situations. She should have the upper hand more time than less.

What do you all think?

I agree with you. This question really hovers in everyone's mind why these kinds of things happens. I hope AB gets some good number and get better trps.

Mera bhi yahi sawaal hai...

AB has really come up with a different storyline - and we should applaud the team for it...(.It reminds me of serials like Shanti...Astitva...Rajni etc...) I know that we should not discuss other serials here but AB is really dealing with a different story -

I am however worried that once Afsar Bitiya gets married the same ssas bahu or sasur bahu drama should not start...

I aggree . Really don't know abt Audience choice , they only want 2 see CRAP Saas bahu dramas and is neglecting such a Beautiful Wonderful show like AB . I hope audience gets some sense and starts appreciating show like AB . it's Best show rght now .

I so agree with u, I think a show like AB should get better tpr rating than these idiotic show with weak bahu and crazy mother-in-law.
But I think that in AB the heroine should b in control not being blindsided at every turn.
Where is strong and determine girl, and that shy and wicked pintu that we saw at the beginning of AB. Writers need to marry these two, living away from their family fighting corruption. Time to move the storyline in a different direction. She needs bigger enemies than tuntun.

I agree with u.as people are fed up with these saas bahu dramas,different stories like AB came,where women is not a dependent like other bahus who crys for taunts but not opposing it. Difficulties bring wins for honest people.but there should not occur repeatedly.

This is my 1st post, glad to see that there is agreement that Krishna and Pinto should not be on the losing side all the time. Waiting for more positivity, as such serials should inspire ppl to try to make a change. Lots of difficulties is not the way to inspire, but showing how things can be changed is the way to go. Let Krishna use her brains to bring the change.

True she needs to stand on her own two feet. Make difficult decision without fear or favor.
Her staff needs to b suspended of fire for allowing the media into her office without her knowledge.
Jail that brother of her. Harsh but necessary.

Loved your Topic! Everyone is so spot on. Afsar Bitiya is one of the best Serials I have seen. Hope the CVS don't mess this up and make it a Saas Bahu drama afterwards.
