Wow...feels odd posting here after so long.Anyways I came here for a reason.I have been visiting the IPKKND forum for quite some time now.Recently the forum has been facing a specific problem for quite some time.Plagariasm.
For those who dont know,plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation," "close imitation," or "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work(Wikipedia).A few writers discovered that their work had been copied on other sites from IF.On coming to know of this, many more writers googled their stories and found that their stories too had been copied onto various other sites and had been presented by the posters as their own.There were other members who discovered that some FFs which had been presented as originals on I-Factually had copied portions or even whole FFs from various books,fanfiction sites etc.Today I got a pm that a D3 FF too had been copied by someone and posted ON THE FORUM!!!!Here's the link-
This is completely inethical and immoral, which some people dont seem to understand.I wanted to make more and more people aware of this problem so that they can protect their hard work from suffering the same fate.As a writer of an FF myself, I know the amount of time and thinking which goes into writing them, and it's dissapointing that people dont seem to understand this.Just be careful guys and don't support such kind of plagiarised work.THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!
