What fantastic colors they had on Khushi - green, red, blue.. I could go on and on- but today I promised I am not going there!

We rant enough about Sanaya hairstyles and clothes in all the threads...(thats how much we hate them)...not sure if we need a separate post😆😆😆😆😆...Although I have to say...I LIKED her previous suits even though they were Chamkeele...they showed her figure well...and made her look cute and attractive!!! 😃 Reading so many posts on IF...you would think they will fix this issue soon enough...This is easy to fix...

So this evening I watched about 30 odd youtube videos of Geet Hui Sab Se Parayi...and well from the looks of it this PH just loves to whole sale their outfits and ovrall the clothing seems pretty meh even from Geet and Maan...the sets and stuff seem more fit to a business tycoon's standards. 😡

It is like watching two different shows. Before marriage was one. And then the after marriage thing is another one. I am hoping that at some point these two different shows will meet each other, have a chat, call for a truce and decide to become the same show.

I am not a fan of love stories about married couples falling in love. Apologies to all married people who are in love and continue to fall more in love :D Though I have seen tons of movies that show this story. Most of them badly. This one movie I remember is Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (I think that was the name) featuring Anil Kapoor & Kajol -- some contract marriage thing, hate-hate and the dude nurses chick or the other way around (I don't remember) and then loveface happens. Super tacky it was. But I have seen this one movie, it is a Tamil movie (so I won't claim to understand the nuances because I don't know the language). It featured Revathi and was a Mani Ratnam movie. The story of a couple who want a divorce but are legally required to stay married for a year and again some accident when the chick cares for the dude thing happens. Wow! Playing Florence Nightingale to sick spouse is an abused storytelling trope or what?! But I remember watching that movie and liking it -- because you understood both the characters and all their longing and self-loathing and loving. Before it all culminated in a grand confession at a railway station (I guess it was a 70s/80s movies and air travel was still expensive). I miss all the emotional upheaval currently. Okay, so whoever is this director of IPKKND is no Mani Ratnam -- but that spark is somehow gone. And a large part of this, like you rightly said is to do with the dumbing down of Khushi. She just doesn't seem to be emotionally invested in this relationship anymore. While I understand the need for her to rebel, be almost childlike, but I wish they showed that she is doing this because she is hurting and not because she is getting some kind of perverse pleasure out of it.

And ya man, where is all that sexual tension? I am disappoint. is IPKKND on the verge of becoming the greatest platonic love tale or what?

@Sush, Need to go back and read your sushpective from the holi episode because the cursory glance I did over the forum at that time was overwhelmingly happy. SO, obviously, I missed your post. I really found you on dhobi ghat episode where you said you were gonna stop posting until they fix it.

I am glad to find you and @vee05 who agree!! I really need a support group.

About the director changing, I think it is more that whole creative team has changed. I had read in a Gautam Hegde (one of the writers) interview from a while back that they basically recycle the same scenes across multiple shows and it is the treatment that changes. He also mentioned that they are constantly surprised by how the scenes end up being on this show. THAT has what has changed, methinks.

Still catching up on the rest of posts...

Yea Vee i used to watch Geet and people never were happy with Geet's dressing either, especially after marriage! the side characters there had better clothese just as they do with Iss pyaar!! and btw did u read the post of the person that went to the set and solved the confusion of the rooms? that it is just one room in the whole "mansion"!! this PH is damn cheap!! they really need to up it now, the show is soo popular some attention needs to be given to this matter!

And the sad thing about it all is I think Geet's boring clothes suited Geet's character and well Khushi's dhinchak outfits suit her Swamini character...😕 If that makes any sense...because I am fairly amazed that i am even writing this!!!! And I am thanking everyone involved that we have 3 polyester suits and Rugby outlet store finds for Mr. ASR because i sure as heck dont want to see him running around Delhi with 4 buttons opened on his body fitted shirt...

LOL I actually watched Barun and Akshay give a tour of the set a while ago and it was kinda funny to see everything...the TV's are just plastic glued to the walls for the TV effect!😲

Hun I think you solved the clothes mystery yourself there. The point is to make her look "taken" and "a mature lady" now that she's married. The older suits were figure hugging which the literature analysts would call "an invitation" and her form of showing her sensuality and sexuality, now that she's married it'll only be for those "closed door" moments and occasional sari clad Rabba-Veys for her "husband".
I don't buy the clothes discrimination between married and un-married, then again I'm a born and bred quite traditional NRI and many traditional people back in India may oppose.. so!!
