Maan ran all the way down the stairs with Geet in her arms. He had barely reached the last stair when Dadima and Geet entered KM. They were alarmed to see Geet in that state.

"Maan bete…. Kya hua Geet ko…."

"Maan put her down….. Mujhe ussey check karne do…."

Maan could barely register what they were saying. His total concentration was on Geet who was literally lying lifeless in his arms….

"MAAAN….. Main ek doctor hoon... Geet's condition doesn't seem good…. Please let me check her…."

Vicky literally snatched Geet from Maan's arms and settled her on the nearby sofa. He immediately checked her pulse and ordered one of the servants to get his bag from his room.

All this while Maan stood beside the sofa, his eyes transfixed on his Jaan. He was still totally blank about his surroundings.

"Nakul…. Please get this injection from the market… FASSST…."

Nakul immediately ran with the prescription in his hand.

"Kya hua hai Geet ko??"

Dadima enquired hesitatingly. She was also under shock seeing her lovely beti lying there totally pale and lifeless.

Vicky didn't reply, he immediately took the injection that a servant had got and gave Geet a shot after checking that the injection was correct. He waited for a few minutes and then once again checked her pulse and eyes.

He heaved a sigh of relief and finally looked up at Maan who was himself looking lifeless. He kept a hand on his shoulder to bring him out of his reverie….

"Abb wo bilkul theek hai Maan…."

Maan immediately looked up at Vicky and then at Geet. He could see the colour on her face returning once again. He sat beside her and took her hand in his. He then looked at Vicky questioningly….

"She had been given a mild poison…."

"WHATT.."

Both Dadima and Maan were completely aghast on learning this information….

"Yes…. Parr mujhe yeh samajh nahi aa raha ki aisa kaun karr sakta hai and kyun??? Mera matlab hai ki this poison could have at maximum harmed the baby…."

Maan who was barely containing his anger till then also went into deep thoughts.

"Sirr…. taaki aap Geet mam ko hospital le jaayein aur raaste mein aap dono ka accident ho jaaye…."

They looked up to see a very injured Nakul entering KM limping slightly. Vicky and Maan immediately rushed forward to help him. They made him settle on a nearby chair and Vicky administered to his wounds.

"Jiss car mein aap jaane waale thhhey uskey break fail kardiye gaye thhey Maan Sir…."

"Yeh tum kya keh rahe ho Nakul…."

"Jee... darasal main uss hi car mein injection lene gaya tha aur hamara accident ho gaya.. phir main ne ekk dusre servant ke haaton injection bhijwaya…."

Maan became quite alarmed. He wondered what a major disaster would have happened if Vicky had not come on time. He didn't need to guess who was the person behind all this. The answer was very clear…. BRIJ…..
