The usually no nonsense girl, a disciplinarian Hitler Didi aka Rati Pandey, came across in an altogether different avatar. The girl who's laced with responsibilities and has forgotten how to smile on her daily show, Hitler Didi was spotted letting her hair down at a lounge in Mumbai. She even hopped on to the dance floor and grooved to the latest Bollywood numbers. Rati had a reason to celebrate. Her show had just completed 100 episodes. Producer Ila Bedi Datta threw a grand bash honouring the occasion. Everybody from the cast and crew including Aroona Irani, Shakti Anand, Sujal Shah, Smita Singh, Gargi Sharma and Shabnam Khan were present at the venue, a lounge in Mumbai. The party continued till the wee hours and had everybody on the dance floor.

It fell like a string-less kite but recovered most of the trajectory within a span of six months. Losing as many as 60-70 GRPs and regaining as much on the back of new launches from November onwards is indeed a good performance. Starting with Hitler Didi in November, with each successive launch – Dance India Dance, Afsar Bitiya and Punar Vivah – Zee staged a smart recovery. But it is not enough to take it to the next level. Whether programming refresh has had a good effect on old shows is anybody's guess but Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein put on some weight and post-generation leap, Pavitra Rishta also improved. Industry experts aren't too sure whether Zee's programmers have done their homework well. But the massy brand has a fair chance to capitalise on the gains. But like Colors, Zee too needs one or two good shows to stay in competition for number two slot. Currently it doesn't seem to have anything remarkably different to perform to its full potential.
