So the opening MM scene. Man, this is EXACTLY what I was talking about in third part of my mini novel on yesterday's episode 😆 Mohan not wanting to continue the drama, completely appreciative of Megha's intention, but not convinced about it. The scene did lend it a tad sulky boy like Mohan tinge, but the point still remains, Mohan is not on the same page with Megha entirely. The silent monologue in his head, about Megha's baatein sounding achchi 😆 reminded me TOTALLY of that MG scene some time ago, when Mohan was talking about Nanhi and how cute her talks were, and Guru was misunderstanding the reference being made for Megha, and wondering how "pyaar" mein wohi baatein jinki wajah se unka naam Mirchi Madam rakha tha, are sounding achchi! 😆 On a serious note, what I really like about this bit is how Mohan's daze - as always - is this sense of awe and admiration for the poise and sensibility Megha exudes! The peace with which she can relay her point, the heartfelt intention behind any explanation she launches into, takes on Mohan! Whether it was the lowe gyaan which she had given off for Karan's convenience, or now - Mohan can't but listen to her, and dwell over her words. He's not the "smitten" guy here - but it's been a while that he's been in the company of an equal like Megha, who can talk sense, simply, and so warmly. Megha isn't patronizing him here, but there's this complacency about her almost the kind you'd find in kindergarten teachers, that little boys heart after! Mohan was at least for a moment, that some little 3rd grade notorious boy, who would readily put aside all mischief for his favorite Ms. Kathy, because she was never going off on him, yet correcting him in manner that made him believe she was on HIS page, understood him, and truly wanted to help him figure the conundrum out!
I dunno if that made sense - but it was an endearing moment to me. Mohan was just CUTE. And yet, it wasn't just kid like cute. It was more of a boy turned man for all practical and worldly notions, yet someone who was so deprived of this tender and simple empathizing camaraderie that in the sight of it, he can't help but go all dazed!
Again, lest I miss out LOVED how he sheepishly admitted that the supermart encounter was fun, then swapped right back to his Buttt! 😆 And Nureyyy! khush toh tum bohot hogi?! Aap-tum laut hi aya 😆 I love also how Megha doesn't try to interrupt his rant at any point, or react to his little tell off. Only starts speaking at the right pause, and then, makes a very good point. He may not want to confront this, but he needs a closure. Technically, I'm partly with Mohan, and partly with Megha. Exactly like Mohan said, although this is SO MUCH fun, I totally agree with the drama part being, well, not a convincing solution. Yet - when you're seeking ends like a closure, sometimes the means have to be sidelined. Megha has picked her best bet. Khair, the debate over right ot wrong doesn't really stand a chance here, so let that be!
Mohan's cute nod from Renu prank day was back 😆 Man, he's such a punkster, when he does that! Nodding like he's THE epitome of obedience and innocence 😆 And the way Megha always goes "thik hai?" to him, is becoming such a signature exchange 😆
Anyway. Moving on. 🤣 🤣 🤣 I LOVE the comic relief Renu offers on this show man, not like every other character doesn't in their own space - the whole family scene played out so well and naturally! I LOVE that about the show! Every character employed for a light moment comes to fore naturally, NEVER a contrived moment of joke, ever!
BTW - this jodi of "salim" and "salip" is going a long way, isn't it?! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Guru ji standing there and watching live entertainment at Renu's expense was 🤣 🤣 🤣 Pakka biwi hai banda! Koi aur kaam ni, toh mohalle ki gossip update ki karlo 🤣 🤣 🤣 He might as well join Chanchu and "Salim" ki team and complete the triumvirate 🤣 🤣 🤣 They can discuss rajma recipes, Udass TV show updates, and all the usual in between stuff like minkyman threats et al 🤣 🤣 🤣
Office scene. I guess it's too much to expect that the creep at some VERY inconvenient point will not run into Rashmi and the whole act will fall through? 😳 Given hi hai. The nautanki has to come through at some point, and what better vengeance for the creep than to ruin this act? Create problems at GOD knows how many levels - because fun ka fun alag, this drama coming to fore is going to be a grave situation, obviously.
But let's ignore that for now. Want to quickly go thumbs up for Megha's completely professional attitude with the creep now. How far she has come from the time she was still job hunting - and how much of that she owes Mohan 😳
Also want to quick mention being glad that amidst all else happening, the Amar case is progressing a lead a day. Not in the forefront of action - but the genius of this show thus far DOES lie in running several parallel tracks and running them evenly. Life doesn't deal with one matter at a time, and shows that can look at multiplicity with credibility are obviously being written with thought 👏 [Dalvi btw was the angry one from the colleagues right? The one Addu was scared of?!]
Finally to MM and Rashmi. Man- what a wannabe cling on this woman is, SERIOUSLY! Iski insecurity and desperation to have center stage at any cost ki toh intihaa hai! I LOVED how that scene started with MM for a few moments coming off as fresh actors first time on stage not knowing what to do with their hands, but the way it progressed within moments into Mohan talking about Rashmi's typical lack of punctuality - LOVED that transition. On a lot of levels. That he's talking to Megha about those kind of long ago details, which given the kind of person he is, he's never probably talked about before, to anyone. The trivial daily details from a relationship gone very wrong! And I love also, that he cam simply talk about it, without hurt or grudge in his tone. That is ALREADY a step forward from before the supermart encounter, it's almost as if in a single time with Megha on his side, he has come this one big step forward where merely talking about Rashmi doesn't cut him raw! Of course the grins they exchange when Rashmi comes and behaves EXACTLY as Mohan predicted, are SO CUTE! 😆 I'm LOVING all this bonding between MM at so many levels! The constant reason of making each other smile, catching each other's eye as if on cue - it's reflective of SO much intuitive sync! Kudos to the writers also, for keeping the characters SO true to who they are! So Megha has pulled off this great act for Mohan. But the fact that her intention is VERY distinct in her own head, as that of getting Mohan a closure, "speaking" for him, till he is recovered enough to actually "speak" for himself - she hasn't lost that exact purpose. So when they're just sitting there, even after Rashmi walks into sight, there is no forced show of sitting like a couple! Anyone else looking at them just for a moment would assume they were friends, acquaintances, or whatever - but couple couple. And yet, the moment you enter that circumference of their bonding, there's like no need for obvious signs! I'm glad we haven't had cliche notions like, oh you're his wife? What about mangalsutra, sindoor blah blah! No. They've kept the focus where it belongs. That anyone in the company of MM WOULD be compelled to see and think about the silent understanding, the SO evident bonding - and that for someone like Rashmi at least, that would be enough to throw her off! [In fact on a side note, I realized the cynic had taken a cheap shot at all THOSE evidences of being married, when Renu had appealed to the inspector about being married with a kid 😆] Khair. So they're focusing on pulling off MM as this MATURE couple. And I LOVE that! Because A) that is something Rashmi is SO far from being with anyone, really. B) That IS how I'd imagine a usual mature couple to be. Not always cooing and hand holding and whatnot - but exuding this obvious air of being partners and together!
Of course, Megha ji, unlike Mohan ji, with genuine experience of being a loving wife once, seems to pull off the act with an enviable flair 😆 I loved also, how today Mohan was many more smiles, much fewer down moments, and actually chipped in something more coherent to the conversation, than the bare "rash... rash... rash-me" he'd managed at the mart 😆 I love the way Megha playfully wiggles brows at Mohan when Rashmi mentions "cafe latte" [*cough* save the jabs Nurey! This conversation toh HAD to happen SO soon after my recent defense of coffee - Murphy jo hain, mere well wisher 😆] Megha throwing masala chai in between, and Mohan's reaction to that - man!!! The AWESOMEST part of their act is how so many things in there ARE true! Including masala chai, AND the sharing! 😆 Khair, Rashmi persisting about "one spoon, one plate, one sip, one bite" *rolls eyes, gaga,s throws up, gets back to screen* Seriously man! Does she even HEAR herself talk?! Does she remotely realize what a silly wannabe she comes off as?! The way she went at Megha's saree - man, such desperation to be one up, uff, iski inferiority is like incurable! Of course Megha's karaare jawab were 😎 I have good reason to believe that self confident and fending Megha may have been, but the extra level of wit is TOTALLY Mr. Bhatnagar's effect rubbing off 🤣 Itii sangat jo hai aaj kal, kuch toh asar hoga hi 🤣
Of course the TROPHY winning moment of the scene is description of the "first meeting" and Mohan's almost "sa-lip" of "Mrs. Vyas" 🤣🤣🤣 Megha kicking him under the table and so unmoved and widely smiling outwardly - bhai Nanhi ke toh khun mein hai acting 🤣🤣🤣
And I LOVE how all the true sentences are thrown in here. Like Megha claiming how fate brought them face to face, and Mohan looking up to that. And again, Megha claiming she thought he was a tapori chasing girls and Mohan's reaction to that 🤣🤣 Sach toh dil se nikal nikal kar araha hai, Rashmi toh bas bahana hai 🤣 And the way Megha claimed having worn jeans before AND Mohan's reaction to THAT 🤣
Then Megha launching into how Rashmi bears credit for their happy little world - Mohan chipping in jhaadu pocha duty distribution 🤣 - and Rashmi's visibly uneasy reaction there! Of course, the way she was thrown off by Mohan asking how life in NYC was, is hint of something amiss. And the amiss, I think, is obvious. Rashmi the eternally unsatisfied soul will never have a life that's enough of all she wants. I'm guessing watching MM - esp courtesy Megha's absolute self assurance and happiness that's glowing - Rashmi is going to begin finding her diamond not so adequate after all...!
Khair - the closing BOMB moment, which was speculated to be left off for Monday - has been carried forward of course. Going to endlessly wonder how this works out - but the precap - DUDE!!! This is what I was waiting for!!! MN facing Rashmi!!! MM is one deal, MN is another! I bet she's never seen a father daughter duo like that in LIFE before 😆 Of course, Addu toh Mummy ke saath hi rahe toh safe hai 🤣
Overall - a great close to the week - with enough promise for Monday. The curtains are a while to fall down on the drama I guess - wondering how far things will go before they hit that block!
