Everything has been said already ... I see varied reactions to the episode today ... I'm with the many who are relieved at the return to the MU and dropping the senseless comedy.
Just a word in KKG's defense ... taking over from Sari yesterday 😉 ... yes, we all expect Khushi to connect the dots, to put together what is bugging Arnav ... and I would too, if he said the right words ... about her ACTING, about her LYING, HIDING THE TRUTH ... but all he talks about is her ghatiya harkatein, her gatiya baatein and her wanting to HARM Di, no wonder she is confused ... when did she ever want to harm Anjali? Or even unknowingly do so? What has SHE done that has harmed Anjali? What ghatiya baatein has she said? What ghatiya harkatein has she done? Everything she has done, or tried to do has been to protect Di and her marriage ...
She has hidden Shyam's truth - to save Di's marriage, and now because of the baby
She broke her engagement the day ... no, the very moment ... she discovered he was already married ... and threw him out of her house
She has kept quiet about his repeated attacks on her, his repeated attempts to get close, and has repulsed him every single time ... even when drunk ... recall that even when she disclosed the secret about her marriage, she kept pushing him away - don't touch me ...
From Khushi's POV, where in all this has she HURT Anjali? Or hurt Arnav? And if she wondered for a moment about whether the hurt was because Arnav had come to know about her engagement, the same question would have arisen in her mind ... he would have asked her, got angry with her, thrown her out of his life, maybe not allowed Payash marriage ... why the hell would he have married her? And that too instantly? And she does not understand his twisted logic ... that it's because he loves her ... heck, she doesn't know that he loves her at all ... he's giving a darned good impression of a man who hates her guts right now.
So for her the biggest proof that he doesn't know about Shyam is the fact that he married her ... but she can't think of any other reason either how she could have hurt him.
Should she trust him and tell him about Shyam? Can she trust him, when she doesn't know what the heck is going on in his mind, why the erratic outbursts of anger and concern ... as far as she is concerned, it's not about Shyam, there is another reason for his anger, and if she tells him about Shyam then a) he won't believe her, and b) it will add further to his already raging anger ... and he might throw Shyam out ... in her own way she is protecting Di's marriage from Arnav's anger as well as from Shyam's antics.
And Arnav with his erratic temper has not given her any reason to trust him or confide in him at all. How does she approach him ... umm, I know you're mad at me because I hurt you in some way, but I think you should know that your respected Jiju has been running after me for the last six months ... and he and I even got engaged ... then I realised he was married and I broke it off ... but I couldn't tell you all this while ... but he's still after me, even though your sister is pregnant with his baby ... now what can we do about this?
And if we understand that for Arnav, the terrace scene and the hug he saw override all his other memories of Khushi, then for her, the terrace scene was unpleasant, she pushed Shyam away at the end, told him she hated him, he meant nothing to her, married or single ... and after that, all her encounters have been brief and curt ... even if Arnav saw any of them, how could he have misinterpreted them?
She doesn't know he's operating on the puppetmaster's strings of lies ... and that's why he is reacting so erratically ... he thinks she's in love with Shyam ... and Khushi can't even dream that he could think that ... nor can she imagine that Shyam is such a gutter-lying low life that he could have told Arnav that ... and again, if Arnav believed that, the same question ... why on earth would he have married her???
So I don't really blame Khushi for taking so much time to connect the dots ... hopefully though, since her brain is in slightly better working order, she might start thinking soon ... if Arnav starts talking about secrets and lying and acting again, that might help ...
Okay, that said ... 😆 phew!!! ... the episode was a relief ... in spite of the BD's and the jumping dialogues - lousy editing ... that the MU is back in focus. How many rounds around the mulberry bush are to come, only God and the cv's know ... but I'd rather see the tension and the main story than the senseless comedy.
