Hiya 😊

I watched the Thursday episode and to some extent I was unsure about my immediate reaction, something was amiss...apart from my literal dhak dhak of watching the utterly butterly delicious Barun sleeping😆😆...So then I watched it again and could identify what I felt when I watched ASR and Khushi today ...unrequited love and irregular guilt.

Unrequited Love

First things First...Barun Sobti please insure your eyes and voice😳😳...

And now I am multiplying that sentence a few hundred times😆😆😆

But on a serious note...coming to your performance Barun...no dialogues, just silences, ...and frankly...the realisation of just a still life...pathos very well conveyed.👏👏👏

I was spolit for choice to pick which part of the silent expressions was most effective for me, including the expression in the pre-cap...and after great debate, I think it has to be the expression after ASR coughs and the very instant looks up at Khushi.

That moment, when those vocal eyes look up...THAT Moment is IPPKND for me...was all along...is all along...without a single iota of doubt.😳

The few silences that followed before that...and after that were once again pure poignant expression of a love not recognised ...and now perhaps unrequired?

Did the eyes that looked up to see meant "I love you, no matter what you and I do"...or did the mean..."I love you ...but am no longer sure of whether you and I are the same person"...Or did they want to just simply say .."I am tired...tired of running away...tired of facing a mist of doubt I can no longer solve...tired of pretending I don't love...tired of whether I live happily or my sister does...tired of my own life if that life has to be without you...even when physically I am around you."

Each shrug of the hand...did that say "I dont want you"...or did it say..."leave me...because I can no longer deal with identifying if it is done with care or contempt"

And I think that one word ASR said after passing out...a word which ideally should have been "Khushi"😳...was not that but "Di"😳...

A few days back this very ASR...humbled himself before so many people😊...didn't care about his carefully guarded image ...and broke down at "supposedly artificial situation" where Heer dies...because somewhere ASR also knows that you dont run away from your family ...you dont run away from the responsibilitity of at least one life that depends on you.😳...his Di...that word defines why ASR for me is in a way in a very claustrophobic situation in his life😳...Di and Khushi to him are a choice between the left eye and the right eye if you like...

This is a silence that is unending...a silence that needs to be recognised...a silence that needs to be heard...a silence that is so layered, that even an irregular glimpse of it...rivets you, compels you to think...conveyes the pathos it truly is.😳

This 4 Lions and Star Plus is your story😳...a silence that has enough gumption to be a best seller😳...but is now reduced to a few pages in a comic filled tragedy.

SIGH!...

A practical note

This one Thursday episode apart...I don't think anything is back on track...and no I am not being pessimist...or a party pooper...just being practical for my own sake😆😆...

becuase if we follow the great pattern this Production house and Channel has treated us to for the last three months...this will be followed by either a mean action from ASR ...or a fight re-phrasing the same words and arguments we have heard a zillion times now, with no new enlightment for either party...or Khushi crying, ...or Shyam smirking...till we are ready for the next comedy track...perhaps starring Miss B (sorry Bachhans😆😆... Beti B trademark is now exploited by all😆😆)

Funny you said this.. this is exactly what's holding ME back from truly enjoying the Rabba Ve's these days. The moment I see it, I wonder..."will this all be forgotten when Kushi comes up with a new trick tomorrow ?" That thought in the back of my head is spoiling these RV's for me now 😭😭Somehow, when they "pretend" to love and care, it takes away from the real moments when they happen.

I love your interpretation of his expressions, and now I will go back and watch !

yeah truely that silence said it all... it was brief moment between khushi and arnav when arnav looks at her after coughing and she holds his face..that eyes said lot of things we could understand... there was definately love there..Isnt this amazing how we can feel this man's emotion when he doesn't speak a word..I m so touched really hats off to you Mr.Sobti.. though I loved episode but still sumthin was missin ..khushi was really caring but I was confused whether it was due to guilt or love..I really like Sanaya.but her expressions did confuse me...they cud hav added sum conversation..or monologue to make it clear...

The most expressive set of eyes. Sighhh.
And the voice, yup, he does not speak much but when he does, the dhak-dhak goes up.😳 If only Khushi would be affected the same way as us forumwasis we could have some movement in the story.

Many thanks😊. ...the frequent hits and misses with the story do take their toll on the continuity and I agree with you that in a way it dents the effect...although the actors do their best..

And yup Barun is one very attractive man😳😳

Hi JW, nice to be on your post again.

I think ASR's feelings are pretty evident these days- he's certainly in love, not too happy about it, constantly tormented as a result of it and confused about Khushi's behavior and motives (aren't we all? 😆 ). This clarity is in equal measure the way the character has been scoped and ofcourse the way Barun portrays it. I think Barun has entered into the head of ASR to be able to emote it so accurately.

However, we are continually let down by the spin cycle the story is in. Everytime you think ASR will start to test his MU assumptions another mini MU is created and he is back to being cold and unmoving.

Thursday's epi for this reason was ok and not great for me. Coz what's to say KHushi will not go back to trying ways 12, 13, 14 of irritating ASR and taking copious notes in her notebook. As it is the pre-cap gives me the feeling ASR will yet again misunderstand Khushi think she probably publicized how she stayed up the whole night to take care of him or how she was responsible for that dreadful fall.

We live in the eternal hope that either the MU will soon clear or a the understanding between the leads will be shown to develop in a realistic and likeable way. Barun is a big big reason for that hope 😳

Arnav is a lonely man indeed being around so many people, he has his food alone, its nothing new to him, hmmm.

Anjali is sure his motherly figure, i liked her's and Arnav's scene.

But hello, Nani calling up and asking him to come home for wifey but dint even bother to ask if pota had food or not?? she knew he left hme without eating in anger??

My Grand mom would hv band bajoed mine had i not eaten anything for so long.
Nani, he is ur pota, the amount of love u shower on other's , atleast 10% of it u can show on him..

And Kushi eats two people's food, werent their so many poori's , how can she eat so much of food??

i just loved loved the way he said, saath baitke khana nai khani hai kya??

After cooking food again irritating him with her tasting food first, was she still hungry that she wanted to have the first bite?? Pray someone tell me her secret to slimness, not that i am fat, but i can share it with other's..

And he faints and she puts up a 60's heroine act, she knew he dint eat anything, and the whole family comes down like as if some circus is going on, one says call the police other says call the doctor the other one says shut up and in between the bhukkad uses her dimag and to digest herself from her heavy eating runs to kitchen to get gur..

I understood she cared for him today out of guilt. yes i still dnt see love that i wanto

What was with that walking around in his room like a 70's heroine who is been burdened by lot of financial crisis.. I get her concern, but she could hv sat next to him and dozed off their.

Pray tell me, was she just guilty while taking care of him or was their any love in her taking care of him?? M confused again, i take it as guilt for now.

And i so laughed at the scene where he wakes up and she stands right in front of his eyes , he choked up, poor fellaw is soo iscared of biwi now🤣

I thot BS was damn good at his expressions here..

The way he fell down, can it get more real?? I thot BS really did have a hard fall.

Barun made it look so real..

Random thought's:

1. No monologue on her guilt for putting him through all these, i mean it really took a toll on his health , ek monologue toh banta hai boss..

2. Anjali's expressions, did she feel what did i tell Kushi ji and what is she doing??

3. Me thinks, Ms. B likes Arnav bhaiya . She really wanted to be their with him.

4. What is up with Nani encouraging all OTT antics of Kushi's and going gaga over it??

5. The rabba ve's arent effecting me anymore now, why??

6. The quality of the show has taken a toss..

Kushi staying awake all night and taking care of him, a better execution was required here.

Ditto it. dude the silence , the expressions - that is all there is to it!! absolutely loved ur post!! you put those thoughts of ours into words which we could not even identify before we read the post!!

I loved the tone of the episode, no comedy, no OTT...Humor yes, somehow the whole epi seemed very sincere to me.

Yes there were things that could have been better, but when compared to the disasters we have had, this was like a breath of fresh air and more a sigh of relief.

I too am not going to believe the show is back considering they have goofed up twice in the past week, When Arnav finds her back after not seeing her for 2 days, her silent treatment towards him etc.

So taking it episode by episode and hoping for better one today.
