Ahem was completely into Gopi throughout their time at the mall.
He portrayed the perfect husband in charge of his wife. Throughout his time he displaying qualities of a chivalrous, gallant, loving, possessive and adulating person.
He was chivalrous and gallant in opening the car door for her and entering the mall.
He cocooned his wife away from harm and fear while outside the mall from the crowd of people and up the escalator respectively.
His adulation for his wife was gleefully seen on his face as she interacted with the shopkeeper. He so wanted to know what Baa meant when she said that Gopi knew better when choosing things for her. He was not surprised with what he had seen.
He was smitten by her innocence, her apology, and her precision in executing a task. His eyes were only saw her, everything else was a blur. His smile told how his heart felt. Their embrace on the escalator was a bonus he never expected. He looked on at her to remove any fear with immense love as he did when he held her hand while she was given the injection. If anything, he was short of telling her how he felt inside for her.
With Gopi sat waiting in the car in the car park, Ahem unknowingly walked into a hornet's nest. His back profile, while waiting to exchange the watches, cast our minds back to the earlier days instantly of Ahem, the businessman in action. On hearing a familiar voice he realised that he had come face to face with his love from the past, leaving him cringing on his face and his heart.
