Arnav Singh Raizada

A 27 year old business tycoon. He is the CEO of Poise magazine, a magazine for fashion and entertainment. He took over the company at the age of 20 after his parents died in a car crash. His grandfather had started this company. Arrogant, cynical and indifferent, he is feared among his employees but respected as well for his hard work, integrity and achievements. Rich, handsome and sophisticated, he is one of the most sought after bachelor in Mumbai.

Khushi Gupta

Studying business in college. She is sweet, kind and cheerful in nature. She loves her family deeply and is ready to do anything for them. Having lost her mother at a young age, she craves a mother's love.

Karan Gupta

The elder brother of Khushi. He is 27 years old and was classmates with Arnav in school. They were good friends and have kept in touch for all these years. He is a successful lawyer in a law firm called Shern and West. He is married to Preeti and they have a 2 year old daughter.

Anjali

Arnav's older sister. She is 30 years old. Sweet, loving and kind, she has been a parent to Arnav after their parents' passing. Arnav means the world to her and she will do anything to protect him. She is married to Shyam.

Shyam

A 31 year old lawyer, he works with Karan at Shern and West. He is a doting husband and thinks the world of his wife. He shares a good relationship with Karan and Arnav.

Payal

The 25 year old sister of Khushi. Shy , quiet and timid. Hardworking, caring and obedient to her parents. She admires Khushi and wishes to be more like her.

Akash

He is 25 years old and is the cousin of Arnav and Anjali. He works with Arnav in his company. A good friend to Khushi.

Niharika

Step-mother of Khushi and biological mother of Payal. She was a widow and was very poor before she met Khushi's father, who was a widower at that time. Khushi was 10 years old when her father remarried. Niharika resents Khushi as she wants the best for Payal and views Khushi as a threat.

Mohan

Khushi and Karan's biological father. He loves all his children equally. He has no idea of Niharika's resentment of Khushi.

Jai

Arnav and Anjali's uncle. He is their father's brother. He has always been jealous of his brother and wants to take over the company himself. He hates Arnav and wants to see him fail.

He watched her from afar as he sat in the car. His heart was beating erratically, he was having difficulty breathing. She looked beautiful, as always. Her hair was let down, silky black hair that fell to her waist. It was blowing in the wind. She was wearing a pink T-shirt with blue jeans. She was laughing..

Beep beep!!

Arnav Singh Raizada jolted back to his senses. The light was green and he was obstructing traffic. With one last look at her, he drove away. She had just come out of a shopping complex. It was coincidence that he had spotted her with her friends at the traffic light..he was just thinking of her..then again she seemed to be always occupying his thoughts these days..

Khushi Gupta, the youngest sister of his best friend.. 5 years his junior..she's fifteen!!What's wrong with him?? Karan would beat him to a pulp if he ever found out..

"Its nothing.. I'm just stressed out with exams..and dad wanting me to take over a company I don't want.." he thought to himself. "He just doesn't understand me, I don't want to take over the company. I want to be an architect, not run a fashion magazine. Akash can take over the company, why can't he just let me be?? He's driving me up the wall, now I've really gone mad..thinking about Khushi all the time.."

The phone rang.. "Yeah di?"

"Chote..there's been a terrible accident..mummy and papa..."

Pain...inconsolable grief hit him square in the chest..he couldn't think..he stopped the car as tears poured silently down his face..
