Why is women earning money is considered bad?

I have read some posts when Khushi started Dabba business or tuition that Khushi should not take money. I was really surprised by that. Why is earning money by hard work and honest mean is a bad thing? So far I have not read a single post that condemned ASR for earning money? Yet he is stuck to his bluetooth and laptop 24/7. Why is a man earning money is considered okay but a woman earning money is considered cheap? Would ASR spend that much time working if he never got paid for his work? Why is it okay for women to "Volunteer" (unpaid work) her time and effort but God forbid if she gets paid for that... Why, that will make her independent... what will the world come to then?

Sorry for venting my frustration... But as a woman who is fully independent in spite of having an extremely well-to-do husband, I find that it is demeaning for women to be condemned for earning an honest living.

Completely agree with you. Infact I really like the fact that she is doing something and not sitting at home..I mean in today's world no matter how much your husband earns the wife also works if nothing for her own self worth and dignity.

I agree Jessa. Women have their right to choose whatever they want to be... Be it a career woman, housewife or both... There is nothing wrong making an honest living... Better than ASR's useless sister and her money-sucking husband...

no i am all women earning money and sharing equal responsiblity in the house it is really nice and men shd do housework also to really show equality.

as long as you are not ignoring your children, i salute to you for working that hard! i love the fact that khushi's working so hard trying different fields to earn money. Infact, it makes me proud that she is a woman. Arnav on the other hand needs to take a chill pill...1- for going crazy cuz khushi's working.. and 2- for working endlessly like he does (i'd go nuts if my hubby worked that much)!
