The scenes with Arpita and Yash clearly showed that Yash worshipped her but did Arpita love him the same way. Granted she showed that she was happy but what if she wanted more for her life like a career and Yash knew about it and wanted to support her but the Elder Schindias were against it without Yash's knowledge which led to her death somehow maybe an accident after a bitter confrontation with them. The reason for my thought are two scenes.
- The scene were Yash misplaces his shaving razor and Arpita brings it to him. He holds her hand and says he will never let her go but she replies that she is not like him she will definitely leave him.
- The scene were she makes food for the children and tells him to take care of the daughters she tells Yash that he may not like to hear what she is saying but as if almost saying that she wants to leave.
I am in no means saying that Arpita did not love Yash but maybe it was not to the same extent as Yash Loved her.
It can happen in a marriage the partners may not love each other with the same intensity maybe CV want to portray that aspect.
Again this is only my guess
