What does Aanya mean

Hi,

We guys are expecting a baby soon and like the name Aanya a lot. However not sure on what does the name Aanya mean? Is it a hindu/sanskrit word? What is its origin.

So far I have been able to gather it is a russian/greek name meaning grace. Please help..Thanks in advance.

Truthfully...I don't think it means anything in hindi/sanskrit 😃

I am inclined to believe so. However this is not a new name..google search tells me that the name has been used in India for years now. And majority of Indian names do have origin..

Congratulations on the baby 😃 . I am also not sure of the meaning of the name, however, i have a cousin whose daughter is named aanya, if i happen to talk to her i can ask her if she knows 😃 .
