A chain of recent cases of blackmailing and bullying of members of the forum has left the members simmering. It has been reported that messages containing malicious content are regularly being sent to a member of the Pyaar Kii... Forum, containing expletives and threats. These messages are being sent through Facebook, through fake ids that are deleted after the messages are sent. Sources say that the hate messages are mainly targeted at FF authors as well as the hugely successful Dirty Picture topic (which is now on it's third thread). Also, through the content of these anonymous bullying messages, it seems painfully obvious that a small group of persons have decided to attack -and these people are ardent fans of the infamous Vahbiz Dorabjee (popularly known as Baby Elephant , and Moo among IF-ians).
Ms. Dorabjee, whose character as Panchi in Pyaar kii... was well liked by many forum members before her Public Displays of Affection and fighting with fans, seems to have imparted a few of her social skills to her fans as well. Unanimously, this group attacks parentage of the person they think has offended them, and threatens them with dire consequences if their ways are not mended. This has not gone down well with members at all. Dr. Drishya Jha, an eminent psychologist , says : 'The persons behind these messages appear to be mentally instable.' She recommends a crash course under the close surveillance of doctors. Vahbiz, whose record of fighting with fans/critics alike is well known, has increased her hate base in Indiaforums, going by the vitriolic responses by most. Updaters of the Dirty Picture thread, which as been labelled as 'cheap' and 'hurtful' by the Vahbiz fan club (popularly known as chamchis) have decided to continue updating with as many steamy scenes as possible. Due to the hate messages, a member is talking of quitting the forum, and is repeatedly being requested to reconsider her decision by forum members. Athena, a scriptwriter, is extremely irked by the turn of events. 'Vahbiz, and her fans , are sick minded people,' she said in an exclusive interview. She also agrees that these people are unhinged.
Fingers are also being pointed at Vahbiz for writing these messages, due to her track records. Sunidhi Raizada says, 'She blocked me on facebook just because I enquired after the health of her fiance. What was my crime?' Pavneet Sohal, aka Pavi.Dravid119 says she would like them to get a job, since they have no ther pastime than reading the updates and FFs, stalking them ,making new ids, and cursing them. Miss Pavneet, who is close to the victim, is furious at this injustice, as is Carisma, a talented actress herself, who believes that celebrities should always be polite while talking to fans.
Vahbiz remained unavailable for comment till yesterday, when a spokesperson arrived at IF to tell it's members to behave properly so that their parents could be proud of them. Her statement, which sounded much like Vahbiz herself, drew irked responses from all. When asked about sending hate pms, she agreed that Vahbiz had done a good job by sending such pms and that she is now more desrving of respect. She questioned the victim as to whether she has enchanted the members to support her, clearly demostrating her ignorance that most members are close friends of the victim. Anurag, one of the few males of the forum, also joined in questioning who exactly the person was. 'It's either Vahbiz or her chamchis,' he says frankly, adding that he is amused by the responses to Ms Dorabjee's spokesperson. Snitchseeker, a fellow reporter, urges forum members to mainain calm, while simultaneously wishing that she hopes that Vahbiz's fans and their 'Di' falls into a pit and stay there. Shruti, a 16 year old, adds that she would like to get a hate message herself, so that she can reply them back. We hope that Vahbiz's fans get the message and ,and hopefully take treatment from Dr.Jha.
