I barely start topics in this forum, but the recent happenings of the show sorta forced me into finally making one. I might not get many members who agree with me, but this is entirely my point of view, so just putting it out there! *wheW*
I am honestly diappointed with the way how Lakshmi's character sketch is going no where now. Money is literally the only thing the holds in high esteem and seems to care/talk/dream about. Everything is weighed in "money" for her. To think of one scene off the top of my head..when ArMi were having their lunch in that 5-star hotel, she was hesitant to ask for the bathroom? I bet Arjun would've asked for it, if he needed to use it too, not like he goes to these places every day :S
I think a person should be confortable in his/her own skin, in the first place, for someone else to accept them. If you don't like yourself or your status, etc., how do you expect another person to do the same?
On the contrary, I love Arjun just for those reasons and many more..he overlooks everything & I mean EVERYTHING when it comes to Lakshmi. The 2.5 lakhs' worth of ring didn't matter to him when he saw Lakshmi upset and crying for it. That's love, but I wonder how long until Arjun finally gives up? Not that there's a problem between them right now, but eventually we'll see a track in which Lakshmi's love for money will be questioned, no? At least I'd like to see one, just to see her loving Arjun without any of the luxuries (yes, she loves him without those as she proved earlier by picking Ajay over Arjun, but since he has found out that he's Arjun himself, I feel that she's taking his status for granted again).
I have no idea where I was going with this topic, but just a few thoughts that I wanted to share! 😳
