Sandhya forgives Bhabho but not Brother

Today was another insipid episode.

I found it rather strange that Sandhya appears to be so grateful to get a "second chance" by Bhabho to stay in the house. As if this was a College hostel where after being caught doing mischief the matron has forgiven you and given a second chance.

For heaven sake this woman has tortured, abused, insulted, demeaned and humiliated you and instead of expecting an apology or at least some sort of acknowledgment, it is as if Sandhya is "forgiven" by Bhabho.

She is not even sure whether she wants to have any relationship with Sooraj but is now delighted that Bhabho has given a her a second chance.

Chance for what? Obviously, a second round of torture, abuse, and same kind of pointless nonsense.

On the other hand, Sandhya is so mean to her brother who is sincerely repenting his mistake. And we all know that he did not lie- he only supported the marriage broker's lie. But Sandhya is not prepared to forgive him and she stands there patronizing her brother.

And what marriage is she preaching about? There is no marriage!!

And again why do they have to show Chavi so vile and nasty. The same thing ie trying to get a saree off Meena could have been shown as naughtiness.

And why is Sooraj shown as being so stupid. He heard the girl asking about the book on diabetes. It is the same name in hindi too. He could be shown to buy something equally funny.

This is one screwed up joint family if there ever was one.

While I agree with most of your post, I have to say I actually thought it was a cute episode. Especially Chotu and Suraj's interactions...😆

As far as Sandhya's brother is concerned...you have to remember that although he didn't directly lie to Bhbao...he did lie to Sandhya outright. He told her that Suraj was more educated than her, and that since Chavi goes to college he's sure Suraj will let her study further too...Sandhya had this in mind when she finally agreed to the wedding.

Why she didn't forgive him...I don't know...I guess I would have...I'm not saying I would trust him, but if someone is begging so much, I would have forgiven him.😕

As for Suraj...I agree he looked a bit silly buying a book on diabetes...it is the same name in hindi, and considering the number of rounds his father makes to the doctor, he must of heard the name of this disease somewhere...still...even this I could overlook...because it was the thought that counts...😛

I agree with you and yes it was sweet that he decided to (a) buy her a book and (b) consider buying her an English book. But as I said it could have been comical too if he got her a book on 20 ways to please your MIL or something like that!

Sandhya forgives Bhabho but not Brother, Looking so stupid and Silly on the Story , Her Bro who is waiting to Redeem her Life , she dont accept him , but this Stupid Mother who always accuse and Put Allegations on her a Joot, Theif , she want her , ... The Story is going Point Less

😕 Wait here ... I have 2 reasons for this ,

Reason 1 ---- Why Should she please ,Bhabo, Those Days are gone ...wat wrong she did ? Everytime she blames her for nothing , she too know dat she blamed for nothing, but dont regrett for what she did on a innocent gal .. Infact it is the time for Bhabo to cut her EGO and Please Sandhya and Beg her to stay with her son ...

Reason 2 ---- BTWay Suraj is not thinking that still he and His wife Need to Plaese Bhabo ... So NO Chance of Buying such kind of MIL pleasing Books ...

Have to agree that I too was rather flummoxed after the epi. That was until I rewatched it just now.

Sandy wanting to keep pleasing Bhabho. What a crock! Then again, we can see she's kidding herself and hoping against hope that Bitchy B has finally seen the error of her ways.

Of course, by last wks precap we all know that all BB sees is the errors of Sandy's ways.

I agree with ummesulaiman, that what Ankur did is unforgivable. But I also think Sandhya is not angry with her brother anymore, just sad and unable to forgive him verbally.

Still, I saw a forgiving moment of sorts when Ankur put his hand on Sandhya's head, she did not move or step away like she did in the past.

I think Sandy does not want Ankur to give up his working in the US dream now. however it was achieved. If she melts even a little, she knows Ankur will move back to India in order to get her out of this Hellhole which is why I think she held back.

She simply tells him to walk away, at ease with his thoughts. He cannot help her now without her consent so no choice but to go back to his wife and wait for Sandy to call.

As for Chavvi...that girl IS vile. Say what you can about Meena, but she is, after all is said and done, a product of her environment. Miss Chavvi with her upbringing on the other hand has no excuse for her wicked ways. She's just a baaad egg!

Suraj's action was sweet but I too was confused as to how a sweetmaker in India did not pick up on the word Diabetes.

Then again, I put it down to the fact that he was already out of his element whilst standing in a book shop. Plus, it's not uncommon for people who aren't used to listening to a different language, like English in this instance, to have a truly hard time understanding it. It's like their comprehension shuts down when they hear unfamiliar sounds and they assume that they won't be able to parse the words.

What the heck, I'll forgive that poor darling anything! The man has few faults as it is.
