I felt like both of their makeup was a little over the top, but I liked Karuna's look better.

Yes, same here. Just the first look of both of the girls in their bridal attire was enough to say that Karuna scored way high in terms of the whole look right from Wedding dress, to the jewellery, tothe makeup..everything was just wow about her.
On the other hand Saroj, who is such a pretty looking girl otherwise looked quite ordinary because of the dated style of the attire and makeup which was too loud, yes even for the wedding day her makeup was screaming out. The eye shadow was horrendous. I really feel they could have done so much better with Saroj, given her attractive facial features, but they disappointed us.
