I have a 'presence' story which freaked me out...bear with me, it takes a little telling...I broke up with the love of my life many years ago but I'd still say he will always hold the 'true love' place in my heart...sad but true!...we'd moved on in relationships (staying in touch through his sister) and one Sunday evening I was involved in an accident (car hit us from behind) with my then boyfriend.

I knew my ex had a serious girlfriend (marriage variety!) and that he'd use the route we'd had the accident on if he ever went to visit her. That night, I was thinking about him, his current girlfriend and the past as we drove the route and I'd gotten into a really thoughtful place when the accident happened.

My first thought after registering the accident was about my ex...I just had a feeling in my bones that I would see him that night and he'd drive me home...and guess what?!

He drove up behind us about 5-10 mins after we had the accident, he saw me standing in the road and stopped. I knew from the way he looked (as in groomed the way he would be when we used to meet) that he'd been to see his girlfriend...he offered, and I accepted a lift home...

It doesn't end the way you'd expect it to though...as I was with my then boyfriend's mum and sister at the time, so we all got a lift home from him!!

He never married the ex (good thing too as I didn't like her!)...but I married my then boyfriend!

Funny how things turn out.

I guess when YOU love someone, you become acutely aware of them. ALL THE TIME. Leading to the magical moments. lol. Sad that it is not necessarily reciprocated.

THAT guy? My first major crush. And I mean, MAJOR. For 3 looong years, I was a puppy at his wake. Poor dude. He had a gf, who he completely adored, so he very sweetly told me that he really can't help me. Although he wishes he could, he just can't. He really was a sweetheart.
In hindsight, I realize what a dilemma it must have been for him. He must have felt so bad for me. I totally stalked him, you know. I joined whatever clubs he joined, took to following him around whenever i could..gosh, i was annoying as hell. And the most surprising part, his gf took it really well. No nasty words, no shouting matches, nothing. Haha.

And now, after more than a decade of being together, they are married to each other. Its incredibly magical. What they have.

And I too waited in patience for my dream man. Hubs took his time to come to me, but he did in the end. lol. All's well that ends well, right. hehehe.
