Lakshmi's 'innocence' is overdone now

Ok so I used to love this show until Lakshmi/Arjun got engaged- that dumb song about which man she's going to marry. Since then, I fail to find any interest in the show especially because I find Lakshmi is overacting now. Even simple scenes, those 'cute' faces are overdone, her reactions to anything expensive/the toilet roll episode/'bohot mehenga hoga'/'itne saare paise'- the CVs are ruining the character.

I'm so disappointed, shayad CVs badal diye hain? I used to think ke kya hoga after the engagement because the storyline will be boring, but this is TOO much.

This is why I hardly watch the show anymore.. putting it succinctly just because an individual is middle class does not mean they lack even the basic of etiquette.. as well as the knowledge having never used and being completely unaware are two different things.. there is such a thing as common sense .. I refuse to accept Laxmi's family members lack the intellect to comprehend when where and how to speak, behave..

The CV's seem to be forcibly portraying the differences between the family members now.. truly whatever happened to the girl who was proud of herself irrespective of their lack of wealth.. her self respect.. today that same individual is oblivious to anyone or anything but her dreams.. she did not think twice before changing her father no matter her intentions she removed him from his comfort zone by forcing him to wear a coat.. also can the CV's please stop the OTT reactions why do they insist on portraying her as if she is seeing everything for the first time.!!!

I always find it unfair when CV's are blamed for the shows storyline. It's not the CV's fault but the writers. Writers run the show and not CV's. 😆 They decide what will happen in the show and not CV's.

And I agree with most of your thoughts. The writer has ruined Lakshmi. before she used to be pretty matured even though she had an impossible dream. She was grounded and she was way better with Ajay than she is now with Arjun. Also, now she is immature and a bimbo. It's sad to see her making OTT expressions and gasp at every damn gift by Agnihotri's. I swear to god, she gasped three times when she was studying the wedding card. Drove me fruit bat crazy. 😆 The writer needs to tone down with such scenarios. I agree the status difference is huge but no girl would gasp and turn 360 degree when entering a 5 star, no matter how poor she is. There are some basic manners that EVERYONE follows...unless one is illiterate. And Lakshmi is hardly that.

About the tissue paper and toilet paper. Not everyone knows..this am saying from my personal experience. People in chawl dont know the difference. I was handed a toilet paper roll when I asked for a tissue paper..so believe me...that portrayal was right on. 😆 And the houses in chawls are tiny and they actually do have common bathrooms. The houses are so tiny that you cannot afford to build a bathroom and waste space. The houses are a quarter of Lakshmi's living room. Literally. And that includes the kitchen space too.

Ok now..I was always bothered why no one but RV from Agnihotri family has a problem with Lakshmi's behavior. She actually does come on as a gold digger these days, sadly. Hopefully the writer will read this topic and tone it down so that we will get our original Lakshmi back.

Even my 8 year old sister would not react the way Lakshmi has been reacting. I got annoyed when in Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon they portrayed Khushi as someone illiterate just because she is from Lucknow (I didn't mind the accent, but they just showed Lucknow to be super-backward when it isn't), now they are doing the same thing with Kanpur.

Hahaha..ya apparently anyone whose from a small town have the manners of a goat 🤣 Khair..hopefully the writers will rectify. And no CV's are..how should I explain it..they are like generals, they oversee the details during the shoot.

The writers, believe it or not are the Kings. They make and break characters and the story. So if you want to blame anyone for the Lakshmi turning into a Bimbo? Blame the writer. I have been. 🤣

Edit: I was thrilled when she lost the ring too..I was hoping that they will go back and get her the simple solitaire that Lakshmi dropped in the shop. It was simple but it was better than the tacky ring she is currently wearing.

LMAO her ring resembles my sister's plastic ring which she got in a magazine- she wore it and showed me 'Look my ring is just like Lakshmi's'...

I watch the show twice a week these days-Mondays and Tuesdays, because I am the written updater for those days😛
