Contrary to rumours doing the rounds about the rift between the Chopras and Shah Rukh Khan, the two camps seem to have reached an understanding. The ru mours were spurred by news that Yash Chopra had decided to block all theatres during Diwali when Yash Raj Films will be releasing the much-awaited Dhoom II, leaving not much room for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don.
According to a source, there was a closed-door meeting between Aditya Chopra and Farhan Akhtar a few days' back and both mutually decided not to cut into each other's business by releasing their respective films on the same day.
In all probability, there will now be a minimum one-week gap between both the movies. Apparently, Dhoom II will now be released during Diwali, which will be followed a week later by Farhan Akhtar's Don.
A little birdie also tells us that Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra recently met at a five star hotel. The main issue behind the meeting was to discuss the availability of Shah Rukh Khan's dates in the near future as the Chopras are starting another film with him being directed by Shimit Amin, tentatively titled Chak De in which SRK is scheduled to play a football coach.
"Had there been any fall-out between the two, Shah Rukh wouldn't have accepted Shimit Amin's film. Remember, this film was first offered to Salman Khan and Shah Rukh was the second choice. This itself proves the closeness between the two," the source added.
