hello again ppl... i am so glad that you liked the prologue. so here goes the 1st chapter. hope its good...😊

CHAPTER 1: TAKRAAR(Fight)

Khushi and payal were just settling down. It had become late at night and their new room mate had still not showed up. They were slightly worried for her. But since they had waited long enough so as to let the room mate decide where she would sleep, but as she had not showed up so they set up their places and picking their own spots. With khushi decorating her side of the bed with lots of stars and glow in the dark stars and decorative lighting. She had made herself very comfortable.

Payal had gone out to meet her neighboring friends and have a small chat. While khushi went into her attached bathroom to freshen up.

arnav had just walked into a room. It was empty. The other two girls looked like they had gone to eat dinner. He went to the empty bed and put all of deepika's stuff on the empty bed. He put the rest of the stuff in the empty cupboard and was now patiently waiting for deepika.

He was shocked to see the stars hanging over a bed and hoped that deepika's room mate was mentally sound. Just then a bathroom door opened and he heard a girl shout.

Khushi just got dressed in the bathroom and walked out with her towel drying her hair. What she saw shocked her. There was a man standing in the room. She just started shouting at the top of her voice.

Arnav turned and saw the girl who was shouting. He lost his patience and yelled,

Arnav: SHUT UP.

Khushi was still shouting.

Arnav: why are you shouting? You are completely dressed. Shut up…

Khushi: what do you mean shut up? Even if I am dressed, What the hell are you doing in a girl's hostel at this time of the night?

Arnav: listen i----

But khushi cut her off.

Khushi: You do know that this is a girl's hostel. No men are allowed here.

Arnav: I came to drop the bags, i-

And khushi cut him off again.

Khushi: WHAT? A BOY is our roommate? Hey devi maiiya, how is this possible? What will amma and babuji say? Devi maiiya please help me and protect me, this---

And now it was arnav's turn to cut khushi off.

Arnav: ENOUGH. NOW SHUT UP AND LISTEN.

Khushi was shocked at his behavior. How dare he raise his voice against a girl? Had he no shame?

Arnav: my sister is your new roommate. I came to drop all her stuff here. I am the student council president and I have permission from the warden to leave her stuff here. So stop your stupid drama and shut up.

Payal had come listening to khushi's raised voice. She came in and calmed khushi after listening to arnav.

Deepika walked in and went over to arnav first.

Deepika: what bhai? Cant you leave an innocent girl alone?

Arnav: innocent my foot. They have no brains. Zero. You open their head and all you find is stupidity.

Khushi's jaw dropped and her mouth made a perfect 'O'.

Khushi: hello mister. Don't you dare judge me. who are you to talk to me like this.

Arnav: I am Arnav Singh Raizada. And I can do anything I want to. Filthy people like you wont stop me.

Deepika: ok ok…bhai stop. Lets go before you make my new roommates hate me.

Arnav: sorry princess. I knew it would have been better if you would have stayed with us, because people like these with low standards cant use their heads at all.

Khushi was about to retort when payal nudged at her and made her sit down and deepika went to see arnav out.

Deepika: bhai please don't call me princess here, what will people think?

Arnav smirked,

Arnav: I don't care what people think. I love my little princess and will call her just that. A 'princess'.

Deepika smiled and just hugged arnav tightly. She had tears in her eyes as this was going to be the first time she would be staying far from all of her family.

Arnav just wiped her tears off her face and said,

Arnav: now don't you dare let these beautiful pearls roll down your eyes. And don't worry. We will see each other every day and if you feel home sick you are always welcome to spend some time at our cottage. Arjun will like that too you know.

Deepika: oh don't think for one second that just because I am in hostel I wont drop by to meet arjun.

Arnav: sure thing. Now lets go and meet akash. Poor guy is standing out for a long time now.

Akash: bhai what took you so long?

Arnav: nothing akash. Ran into some aliens.

Deepika playfully punched arnav and arnav just hugged her one last time followed by akash hugging his sister.

Deepika: oh bro. don't get so emotional. I'll be seeing you in college everyday. And of course I'll meet you and bhai for lunch and dinner. Happy?

Akash smiled and withdrew.

Arnav: fine. Go back inside. I'll leave once you enter your hostel. And don't let me hear any complaints from the warden. Otherwise I'll be here to twist your ears.

Deepika smiled and walked to her hostel. As soon as she went out of sight arnav let out a sigh.

Akash: don't worry bhai. She'll be alright.

Arnav and akash sat in the car and drove away.

khushi was still pissed.

Khushi: jiji, did you see that arrogant jerk? How dare say all those things?

Payal: calm down khushi. Why are you reacting so much? he is just one person and his point of view. Just forget him.

Khushi; how can I forget him jiji. He is the brother of our roommate. He will always be around. And what if our roommate also is like him?

Deepika just walks in and both of them become extremely quiet. She looks at both of them feeling awkward around her as if they don't know how to react with her. She just sighed.

Deepika(thinking): I knew it bhai. In 10 minutes you are the only person who can cause so much change around you. Well this is the first day of college. I am not letting those 10 minutes bore my time here. I'll give it a try atleast.

Deepika adjusts her stuff and when she finds both of them still sitting quietly she goes over and gives her hand for a shake and says,

Deepika: Hi I am deepika. I guess we got off on the wrong foot due to my bhai so I apologize on his behalf. Please forgive him. He is just a little on the edge because its my 1^st time away from home. lets all be friends. What say?

Smiles burst on khushi and payal. Deepika was not like her brother at all. She was quite opposite. They got up and shook her hand and khushi burst forth,

Khushi: areh you don't need to apologize at all. It was just a small misunderstanding, which led to a useless fight. Don't worry. I don't mind at all.

Payal: hi I am payal. So I guess we are all in the same class. Do you know any others in our class?

Deepika: yes. In fact I do. There is la, you know lavanya kashyap my childhood friend. But my brother did tell me that some of the classes we have are slightly different from those we did in school. There is a strange system but I guess we'll come to know about it soon enough.

And they gossiped through the night talking all about themselves unill they finally fell asleep late in the night.
