I love being famous: Rithvik Dhanjani
He played the revolutionary character of a werewolf in his debut show on the small screen - Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. Now, he has charmed audiences as the new lead in Pavitra Rishta- Arjun DK Kirloskar.
Rithvik, who shot to fame with his very first show, recites a cute incident that occurred while he was out to enjoy a movie. He says, "During the initial days of Pyaar Kii... I was waiting outside a theatre when a very young girl who was there with her parents noticed me and got very excited. I waved and smiled at her but did not dare to go and talk to her. And I was not sure whether she was really excited on seeing me or was it something else! After the movie got over (which was about two hours), I walked out into the parking lot and I noticed the girl standing there. After she started following me, I realized that she had actually been waiting for me. I was so pleasantly surprised. I went up to her and she cutely told me that she wanted to meet me and speak to me. This is one of the cutest trysts with my fans."
But it is not always a sweet story for stars. Handling fame gets difficult at times. Rithvik describes one such bizarre incident and says, "I met a girl at a restaurant who very coolly came up to me and told me that she liked my character. Next morning I knew that she has somehow found my number and is stalking me. And the girl was taller than me and, you know, huge!" So do such incidents shake him a little? He laughs and replies, "Sometimes. But I love being famous."
