Regarding the Leap

In the US we finally got the leap yesterday and Disha finally left us. After finally seeing the scene myself instead of hearing about it, I think that it was a awful scene. They showed no reaction from any family member, supposidly Suhas is suppose to love Disha, she didn't even seem upset that Disha was dieing. Everyone was looking at her like they all planned her death together. It was so stupid. DIsha's acting was dumb also. She didn't even look like she was dieing. It looked like she was doing a routine shot. She has acted alot better when she has gotten hurt. I think they could have put alittle more action into it. Also I wish before the leap had taken place they had showed the family living without Disha, where everyone moved to. Or even give it in flashback mode.

Now for the leap. It wasn't that bad. It was so good to hear the DK siegal music again, also see his beard back. I loved how he made his entrance. They played the DK music and showed him little by little. Wow!!!!!!! A for his kids, they were annoying, talking about their mom like that. I wish they had showed that they had family values and respected everyone, maybe someone might have Disha's characters always looking out for someone, seeing that kid would remind him of how Disha was with people. Kammna is very pretty, she listens to whatever someone has to say. I wish she was given more respect from family members. How the hell did DK end up having three kids with her and he hates her like hell. If you hate someone why would you become intimate with them?? They showed the kids not listening to anyone but their father (not even to him, looks like they only like him for money). I wish they had them with alittle indian culture in them (this is a indian show). No wonder kids these days don't care about cultrue/family/religion because they show this stuff on tv with kids not respecting their family and values.

All in all this episode wasn't what I expected. They rushed the leap too fast, and it wasn't well explained when the leap happened (what happened to everyone that use to live their.) they showed it like when DIsha died everyone leaves, because they were only linked to Disha not DK. IF Disha was around everyone else would be around.

Pls let me know what you guys thought about the leap!!!!!

Punjaabi girl good explanation n thanks for the details of TD.....I totally agree with u...... 👏 👏 I too thought atleast one of the kids have good qualities which Disha possess....they got teh qualities of DK only, not of Kaamna.....so strange.....Writers r again going crazy by showing all of teh children as spoiled kids.... 😡 😡 As far as leap is concerned maybe Chavi wanted to quit quickly from teh show so they might have preferred teh leap ASAP n implemeted it n as far as action from everyone is concerned in that scene, something might have happened on teh sets by which no one has shown reactions in that scene....Hoping so..... 😕 Its very illogical that everyone left after Dishas death....Hope Rupali will show what happened to rest of teh cast after D's death ASAP..... 😕

Yes finally got to see the much awaited leap.Disha's death was too quick and too dramatic.Everyone lacked emotions .The leap bhajan was nice.DK was good but the story seems silly.Having read the updates for nearly four weeks now in India,yes there are plenty of new characters but the story is continuing to drag..has't gone beyond Dhan Surily..but then Rupu is known for this.

I dont want to be setting off an arguement on this forum with every member trying to justify the leap...but in my opinion it was overall a rubbish continuation of Tumhari Disha.They serial should have ended and a fresh one started with DK,and we would have been so happy to watch.TD would have been forgotten as a nightmare in due course instead of a daily stimulus of seeing a show that was much loved and has had an inappropriate continuation.DK is great and any show he would have worked in would have been superb,this would have given the makers a more flexibility with the story instead of having it around Disha's memories.

Apologies but no offence was meant.This is simply my view about the leap.

As for now in the show it is only AN and Zarina from the old show...everyone else has left.Nobody probably wanted to continue.

I am glad the leap has happened . In my opinion...they should have brought it in sooner, instead of the 2 months of miserable , torture td after DK's paralysis.

Ashish Nayyar is a brilliant actor, I shall happily watch him in any show . But then a new show will not have DK, and I am not done with DK yet. He is fascinating, specially now that he has come back in his attractive avatar and I want to watch him for a long time .

The kids do not surprise me , since they are spoilt. DK never cared for traditions and cultural values. Disha had influenced him to some extent. But he is back to his arrogant, will get what I want attitude. Kaamna has not been allowed to influence the kids. Hence neither DK nor kids care for traditional values.

As the show progresses...things will change...and it will be interesting to find out how the dad and kids learn their lessons.

As for Ved-Rano...personally do not miss them at all...they were not doing anything much even before the leap...who knows Rupu may bring them in later...right now it is DK-Kaamna and their family's story..
Leap is only a month old ...already we have the ill fated dhan-surily marriage...threats to DK...and recently Veer-Prita angle..the story is moving a lot faster than it did in the last few months..

Hey Punjabi Girl you are absoluteley right as to what ur opinions are im not going to go in any detail as we have already had this discussion. Yes Dishas death could have been more emotional but we do not know what happened on the sets of TD at that time but it seems like there was definetely an atmosphere at that time that is why they had to get Dishas exit over and done with as quickly as they could.
All i can really say is that many of u will miss Disha but at the end of the day such actors like her should not really be valued as the reason this serial has cocked up is becasue of her and also her problems have been visible on screen the last few months before she left.
If I was you I should just enjoy and look forward to this new track it has freshness to the serial, new charcaters have been introduced the story seems good just forget about stupid Chavi and just appreciate Poonam Joshi in fact I think she is better as well as beautiful.
Oh and btw the TRPs since this leap has slightly gone up so look on the bright side.

hi!!friends... saw the figures in some other forum...they were given by Balaji...

as you know Td 's ratings were bet 200-250 before the leap...after leap in the week ending 1st july...the ratings were bet 150-200..STNK was at 130-140...TD at 166

Prior to leap the the TVR(this is what Balaji gives, it is a figure similar to TRP) was 0.88....after leap has gone upto 1.1...the repeat episodes of TD in the week fetched viewing figures that were being fetched by the fresh episodes before leap..

So there is still hope left in this show...it had reached really bad position so recovery will not be quick but hopefully it will regain it's past glory...Zee and rupu will have to keep up the pace..and make a good mix of romance, drama,suspense.... serious stuff and light stuff...
