It was one hell of an Episode, wasnt it? I really dont blame teh rain for this debacle. Not at all... the rains damaged the sets... not the creatives brains!!! I would have overlooked a lousy production value if the rains really played spoil sport. But the production value wasnt low, infact i did say the camera work was excellent yday... and the only hero of teh day was the cinematographer. Complete marks on the techincal front... from camera to sound to lighting everything was Good actually a notch higher. But what was wrong was with teh way the scene was conceived! A total disaster is what i can say. What holds u in not good cinematography, it is the story... and that is what was ruined. How can the rains affects someone creativity??? so drastically??? Rain is not an excuse... even without the rains they would have come with such a lousy track!!!
And my point is why should I sympathize with the production house? Why should it bother me as an audience if they don't have an episode Bank? If they aren't capable of managing their resources well, then whose fault is it? Yes, I completely understand when last year the deluge caught Mumbai unaware… but this time there was enough warnings, they should have been prepared for it. Yes, Ram's ill health was unforeseen and he script going hay wire coz of his absence is understandable. But yday wat happened in Mukesh Mills wasn't coz of Ram's ill health… it was just stupid scene. All was fine with that scene if it wasn't for the Bomb Fiasco. What I didn't understand was why that entire scene needed to be as if it was a death scene? Jai was ready to answer Bani's questions… he would have done it anyway…. Then why this stupid Bomb Scare?
I felt really bad for Ram, he shoot despite his ill health, and this is what he is given to enact. Sheer waste of talent and energy. Professionalism ka tho mujhe pata nahi hai... coz my definition of professionalism is different. And in Tv industry anyone who adheres to the production house's demands are called professional! But i really refuse to call that professionalism. To an extend going an extra bit to accommodate ur Production house is great, it is being professional, it is being loyal... but i do appreciate it till a point the productions looks at and treats u like a professional, treats u as an equal and takes care of ur creative satisfaction aswell. Which very sadly Balaji doesnt offer!!! All those who work in Balaji are ruled by an Iron Hand.
Ram is very professional, but he is a more cool kind of a guy with loads of patience once that wears out he will leave... What keeps him motivated is the creative satisfaction his job offers. And that is why i respect him.
Lets see what is up today...
Lots of Luv
Anu.
