Born on this day- the 28th of March- exactly 27 years ago, was the shining star of our hearts Mr. Kushal Tandon. Although born into a Punjabi family settled and with deep political roots in Lucknow, Kushal has, from his childhood been a great movie buff, and had always dreamt of being an actor. To fulfill his dreams, he started his modeling career at an early age, and with his great looks and attractive persona, he soon went on to bag a huge assortment of ads from big brands like Sony Ericsson, Skoda Activia, Airtel, Dairy Milk, Eva Deodorant,Vimal Reid & Taylor, Kawasaki Bajaj etc. In 2005, he became the runner up of the prestigious Grasim Mr. India contest. As the next step on his path of becoming a successful actor, he went to the United States to graduate from the New York Film Academy. After his graduation, he returned to India, and not too long after that, was offered the role of the parallel male lead in Cinevistaa's new show on Star Plus, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Impressed by the script and his character, Kushal signed up for the role, and has been ruling our hearts as Virat ever since. His hugely convincing portrayal of this role and his awesome chemistry with his co-star Nia Sharma who plays Manvi in the show, have managed to cement his place in the telly world as one of the most popular and sought after young actors.

Kushal Tandon has been on his journey towards fame from his very first steps. His participation in the Grasim Mr. India contest led to him winning the title of 1st runner up. On top of his countless achievements and awards that preceded and followed the Grasim title, Kushal Tandon has made a household name for himself, in less than 6 months, in the Tellywood world. His portrayal of the character of Virat got him nominated for Best Naya Sadasya in the Star Parivar 2012 Awards. As well, his ever so popular pairing with Nia, Manvi Chaudhary, got him nominated in two jodi categories. He has attained an unprecedented fan following in a very short time, and needless to say, with his humble nature, genuine interactions with fans, charismatic personality and amazing acting skills, he will only gain more and more fans as time goes by.
