CHAPTER-3

"The Shikhar Deal" the much awaited project of Khurana Industries was finally nearing its launch date.The board meeting made the details finalized and after a crucial press conference Maan headed towards Khurana Mansion.

He was in one of his foul moods with the constant bickering and nagging questions of the reporters,and was eager to see his Mishti,the only remedy to calm his agitated nerves.Her one melodious laughter,glittering naughtiness in her eyes and he calms down.The black Mercedes came to a halt due to a traffic jam.Maan concentrated back in his cell,when he heard her laughter.

"Oh Mishti darling'..now a days you are always in my mind" he thought to himself,when he again heard her laugh.He looked out and the scene left him enraged beyond limits''..Another man..

His Geet was laughing with another man.She was walking with another man and she seemed to be happy with him as her face was glowing with laughter.He saw her speaking something in his ears and then running away as the man ran after her..he seethed with anger.The signal turned green and the car proceeded.

It was 4pm,2 hours since he returned.He satin his armed chair in their room with Geet's note in his hand when he heard her footsteps.She stepped in and saw him sitting.

"Good afternoon Maan'when did you come from office?" she asked happily.As usual he was quiet.Well she was well aware of his nature,but what she did not know was the limit of his anger'He stood up and she went upto him to undo his tie-knot.

"Maan'have you eaten something?"she asked him yet again.

"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?" Maan shouted in immense anger as he dig his fingers in her arms. She was shocked with the sudden outburst and started stuttering nervously..

"woh'I went home'as Mmmom ccalledd today moornning'as'." She lied''

"SHUT UP,JUST SHUT THE HELL UP,DON'T LIE GEET,JUST SPEAK THE DAMN TRUTH" he shouted and shook her vigorously.She started shivering in his hold,yet managed to speak between sobs and hiccups'..

"Raj and his parents came after three years'so they called me'.I told you about him before'.I tried to contact you, but your cell was switched off'I even tried to inform in your office'when I couldn't I thought not to go'.but mom again called up'and pleaded to come'so I left a note for you'.promise Maan'I am not lying'I really promise'"

The truth seemed to calm him down and he abruptly left her and went out.She fell on the floor,totally shocked and kept crying'It was the first time,she was subjected to such anger..

He punched the glass in anger and it shattered into pieces.How the hell can he do this to her?She is so nave,she loves him so much and he shouted at her and hurted her..She was so scared.He remembered her telling about som eone called Raj,who was her neighbour and best friend.He never cared about him,as he was not here,but when he saw her laughing with that Raj,jealousy and anger ruled his thoughts and he shouted at her.

"She must be crying till now" he said to himself'he went to their room after cleaning his wounded hand, knowing her worries about him. He found the room empty and sat on the chair waiting for her. After a whole half an hour, she came with his evening coffee.She was a bit hesitant but then entered the room .Very slowly she placed the coffee mug and told him'

"Maan ,your coffee" she turned to leave, when he held her hand. She flinched with the sudden tug'.feeling he will scold her again. He saw it and felt guilty.

No,she shouldn't be scared.

He very slowly made her sit in his lap while intensely looking at her shaking lips and shivering form as she kept her eyes down. He snuggled her closer and very gently kissed near her heart.She all the while was controlling her tears but as soon he did that,all her control loosened and she started crying again.

"Maan'I am sorry,I won't do it again'please'please'I am sorry'" she sobbed

"Shh Geet'stop crying.." he whispered sternly.She looked into his eyes with her own tear strickened one still sobbing and sniffing.She looked so cute with her face all red that he couldn't stop pulling her cheeks a bit. Now she was confused '

"I am sorry Mishti , fort shouting at you , but you know'I got really worried when I didn't find you at home" he explained to her..

"But Maan'.I left a note.." ?Geet told

"Note? But I didn't get any.." he replied

"Strange'I asked the maid to give it to you as soon as you come from office'May be she forgot.."

"Hmm" was all he told..Geet placed her head on his shoulder sighing happily as Maan understood her.He kept on brushing her fingers on her arms which was slightly red due to his strong grip.

"Maan'I have some work in the kitchen.."

"Hmm" and he pulled her more close tightening his hold and kissed her cheek.She blushed a bit and nudged him again'.

"Okay,but finish it soon" and he left her . She got up and as she was to go , he again pulled her back and asked'

"One Cadbury please.." oh..! how can she deny it now?! So she leaned on to him and they kissed, a kiss of contentment,everything was solved. As she left the room, after the kiss, he picked up the crumbled note and threw it out'

She is not supposed to know that'..he was jealous..

Maan s so possessive but love her a lot..
