Kareena Kapoor may be the lead heroine of most blockbusters which have had the Khans in the lead roles but that hasn't deterred Vidya Balan's phenomenal rise as an actress, rather hero!

Kareena Kapoor speaks on Vidya and why she isn't threatened by Vidya's success.

"Vidya has been doing parallel cinema and its impressive that she is getting mainstream response at the box office for these films. She is doing great work. Vidya and I are different though. We do different kind of films. I have done Bodyguard and Omkara. What means the most to me is Box office success. It is more important for me than awards. I have always done entertaining films. Even 'Heroine' has enough glamour in it. I feel there is enough room for different actors. Audiences have different tastes" said Kareena about Vidya Balan Khan, a name given to Vidya by Ekta Kapoor.

After Priyanka, looks like Vidya has found a fan in Kareena too!

RED...i can't understand what she is trying to say now...if she is so concerned abt only BOX OFFICE SUCCESS.😕..then why she is crying upon standing behind the khans..🤔..u can't get both the things in a tick lady...she seems to be confused herself

Is it from the same video that desu posted? Because indiatimes seems to change her words for it. She said that she wants to be in both the worlds of masses and classes. She is happy doing being in those 100 crore films yet she wants to do performance oriented roles..

Honestly currently she is the best actress. And im talking abt the acrting skills. Today ppl r looking for good looking girls, names i don't wanna mention. But honestly Bwood industry is not the same. The male leads r still good but the female leads lately EHMM EHMM no comments.

I think peope misunderstood her point. Her emphasis was ALWAYS on commercial success.

And she basically said that until an actress ahs the SAME COMMERCIAL SUCCESS and FINANCIAL COMPENSATION as an actor, we are not equals.

She kept bringing this point up over and over agian.

Yes, she also wants to do strong roles, but again, she wants those films to be HITS. She never once talked about awards.

@desigal i dont think in this any world any actor saying tht he or she doesn't want awards is speaking from heart...be it salman or ajay devgan...or even aamir khan, or why he went to the Oscars ceremony. while u r working on a film u expect to bring BO success as well as awards too..becoz who doesn't like his/her work to be appreciated.

Nitu, she doenst think much of awards coz she's won so many, even ones that were unfair. She knows how easy it is to win awards.

I mean its ridiculous how many she's won, right from her debut. From critics to popular. Even a couple that were outright ridiculous liek for 3 Idiots.

You think she cares about awards anymore?

Salman is beyond awards. Look at his following. Aamir doesnt attend award shows. Shahrukh would still be Shahrukh without the awards.

i dont need to check any thing nkapoor..i know what her thoughts are...she is probably confused which side to take...

now i think she is making her condition worst by mentioning Vidya over and over...she should think abt herself and her work only...concerntration is the best medicine.
